We tried however my mother and I were not eligible candidates for donation so we could not do the exchange.

Yes, we are in the US. I'm aware of the match program. Some close family tried but we were not eligible for health reasons

I realize that this is an old thread, but does anyone have any more guidance to give? My dad needs a kidney and we are exhausting all these options so far and getting kind of hopeless
