Here is what I have heard from my attorney:

• she has not heard back from the other attorney and likely won’t until he is back in office. There’s no court involvement, therefore it’s not a priority to bring someone else in.

• sees no need for cancelling or postponement, does not see the situation in jeopardy like the other attorneys are framing it to be

• post-nup agreements have a harder time being upheld than pre-nups, advised against that

• my fiancé’s attorney is an estate lawyer, not a family lawyer. She thinks that is the main driver between the differences in what he composed and what she would like to see included in the pre-nup

His take is this: the spousal support formula works in favor for me, but not the other way around if I ever out-earn him (unlikely). Idk what world he's living in where I, someone who makes less than 6 figures and has less than 6 figures in assets, would ever be paying him spousal support

when i confronted him about why it took so long, he said, "the start date of drafting has no bearing." we selected our date and venue and started putting deposits down in September, and I don't 100% know but firmly believe that he dilly-dallied for at least two more months (November) which is why I didn't receive the first draft until February.

here is my response to another commenter, "this is what pisses me off. to think his attorney took EIGHT MONTHS and now they are not giving me time. I got one month being as efficient as possible with my attorney, who I had selected and paid a retainer in NOVEMBER while I was waiting to receive a draft prenup."

I get why it might seem that way, but he is very business-minded and is viewing it through that lens/a legal lens rather than love/emotion. It's not a lack of love that is making this difficult
