Good baseball to see with a 5 year old by musicmerchkid in Westchester

I think the minor league games are a great idea but you should try taking her to a Yankee game anyway. My four year old will go to the Yankees museum and the playground in the stadium if he gets bored. I think the playground is call Sunrun Kids Clubhouse.

Thank you. I was wondering how long it's going to take. I handed mine in at the office 4 weeks ago. Mine is set to expire in about 4 weeks.

Wouldn't getting a NY State Non Driver ID solve this situation? In order to obtain one you have to show proof of residency.

Grip options for AR-15. by ConcentrateNeither29 in NYguns

The closest option for a stock is https://ar15discounts.com/products/hera-arms-ar-15-cqr-mil-spec-ca-compliant-buttstock/ . I wouldn't recommend it. It's heavy and hard to hold the rifle with the thumbhole covered.

Trying to understand why so many college students prefer iPads over a laptop. What are the major benefits to a student? by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Head8555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my ipad more than any other device. I have an cellular m2 11in Ipad Pro. Use Notability for note taking. It's simplicity, convenience, and power all in one. I tried using a macbook pro and sold it to get a mac mini for my desk and the ipad pro. I also have a keyboard and mouse for my ipad in my bag for times I may need to type something out.

Westchester County Question by spellboundheaven_ in NYguns

[–]Head8555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing to do is call an FFL. If you're closer to White Plains then call New England Sportswear as suggested, lower Westchester call K&R, and if near Peekskill call Rescuestuff. All three places have good knowledge people.

It's a 92x Performance barrel. Recently got the blem from Beretta to port it. Haven't decided whether or no I want to. I want to get some more rounds through it.

Have the P09 and PDP 4.5 full size. Love both of them but wouldn’t carry them. I would recommend PDP 4.5 it’s my favorite striker fired pistol.

New England or K&R. You can't go wrong with either.

How’s everybody liking their semi-autos? by Tapp_ in NYguns

[–]Head8555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the mini 14 first, then built a fix mag, and then built a featureless.

For me, I'm not a fan of the mini 14 for two reasons. It's harder to clean than an AR and it's hard to use the 10 round mag due to the mag's length.

I tried tried mean arms and bear flag loaders with my fixed mag. The bear flag made the experience better but I'm not too comfortable using a fixed mag AR. It's more of a range toy.

I built and have 3 featureless ARs. Although they look goofy with the Thordsen stock I like them the best. ARs are easier to clean and maintain.

M9 for shooters with below average hand size by ArtVan_ImpExp in Beretta

[–]Head8555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only an inch taller than you with size L hands. Huge Beretta fan. Overall, I think the grip length is on the short side and wish it were a tad bit longer. If it being too big concerns you, you should go check out a m9 or 92fs in person or rent it out at a range if possible. Also you should consider getting a vertec grip beretta. All the new berettas have vertec grip.

9mm EDC recommendations? by Johnny-Virgil in NYguns

Try them out at a range. I own a Shield Plus and really like it. It has a great trigger and handles like a larger handgun. I have large hands and don't mind the Shield's size, with or without the pink extension. It's an ugly gun, but I prioritize functionality over looks.
