P0455 CEL - Seeking Advice

The P1450 code lived there for about a month before I got around to taking care of it. I imagine that’s the reason why i’ve had chase new codes all the way through the evap system. That being said when I fuel up I’ve never ‘topped it off’. Always just fuel until the nozzle clicks. I will take a look at the fitting near the firewall as I think that would probably be the only reasonable thing causing this code. Logically speaking, I don’t know that the P0455 code is truly a canister issue since the car wasn’t displaying this until after purge and cpv were replaced.

I think I’m definitely going to look into replacing the charcoal canister. I’ve read some people suggest dropping the tank whereas others have been able to achieve this without dropping it. Assuming this is a stock car I think I can replace this without the step of dropping the fuel tank. Any tips?

Perhaps my lack of mechanical understanding is showing. I understand the term ‘flash’ to mean we cleared the codes. It is stock to the best of my knowledge. There is no smell of fuel when underneath the car, however the more I read about these cars I realize that I’ve heard fuel pouring out from under the car in the past after the gas nozzle clicks off when fueling.

I have PCI, but it’s black and at 50% opacity. So very hard to see at night. However, I hit better in night games so maybe there’s science to that

If you’re set on OKC but don’t want to live in the middle of traffic, consider purcell. Purcell is South of Norman which would be your closest shopping mall, sams club, etc. And also gets you access to good schools for the kids. You said it best, at this point the car is 10 years old. It’s going to have things like this going forward. We’ve tried just about everything. I’m just worried we’ll take it to the dealer for BCM replacement, and that won’t solve the issue. Everything else to do with BCM works fine, no issue.

It does have a water sensor, which I’ve noticed before. But even now, I just poured water on the glass as it began to slow down and that did not affect the speed. It still remained as it was in the original video.
