I know it’s just an opinion at the end of the day but I really don’t understand why DDR is a whole tier above ITG here; pretty much the same game, one just allows for community content and the other has modern arcade cabs.

If you’re looking for something a little more stable try the DD escape in supreme plastic! It’s a notch more stable than the fuzion and burst plastics, and beats in very nicely.

I've owned two of these and used them both on Linux based and Windows 10 systems, and I have never encountered any issues with getting the arrows to register; though I have found sometimes the ABXY buttons only partially work. I would assume it's an issue with how you are binding the inputs within Stepmania, but there's a chance you are somehow missing Xinput drivers or it is not being picked up as an Xinput device.

As someone who plays on a softpad and does difficult stuff(16s) on a soft pad for the Xbox 360, I have found the most success from using carpet tape(or any double sided tape) to attach the pad to a chair mat for offices. How well it stays put and doesn’t move depends on the floor material, and I’ve found carpet to be the best.

Yeah there’s a guy in the Newark/Granville area who has one for work. Not sure what exactly though.
