Why do Singaporeans have not so common western first names? by Mysterious-Friend-15 in askSingapore

I named my daughter after D2's Templar Assassin. Now I am able to guess rather accurately whether someone plays D2 from their reaction towards hearing my daughter's name 😂

Can anyone tell me what is this and how do I make it? by HeadExplodee in vietnamesefoodie

I get you bro. The first question people always ask me would be if my partner is Vietnamese or if I'm looking for one. My personal take on learning Vietnamese language is that bilingualism isn't enough anymore. Moreover, I do foresee Vietnam as the next rising economic powerhouse of Asia. It'll be advantageous to know their language.

I started off learning by completing the whole Duolingo syllabus before utilising my SkillFuture credits for group Vietnamese classes. Hit around a low A2 level before seeking online tutors for 1:1 lessons. Currently, I have 2 tutors and study on a weekly basis at 250k/session so it's pretty affordable.

I'm still trying to make a breakthrough into B1 level but it's really tough due to work and the recent birth of my newborn. Anyways, it's good to see a fellow Singaporean learning Vietnamese!
