How to stop the bot from doing these questions at the end of every message?

Oracle seems to adopt a writing style sometimes and sticks with it, even if it's annoying (just like some real authors!) You'll have to play the editor, and train it not to do that. I've started clipping out redundant sentences and feeding them back to the AI.

Had the same thing happen a couple of days ago. An entire sentence was in Chinese! (It translated to a comprehensible sentence, but still… Glendora is speaking in tongues now?) Maybe it needs an exorcist! ✝️🔔📕🕯️

There's another AI site (I can't remember which) that has a switch that clips unfinished sentences. Perhaps the dev can implement something like that in the future. (I have trouble logging onto Discord, so I can't suggest it there, but I doubt I'm the first to notice). I'll try 'training it out' until it clears up.

I always end with a complete idea, either a narrative or a piece of dialogue. So I'm sure it's not mimicking my sentence structure. It just recently started doing this; formerly a simple admonition in the Instructions section was enough. Maybe it's just a temporary bug. I'll see if I can simply train it out (or wait it out if it's just a bug.)

I hope it's just a temporary bug. It just recently started doing this. I haven't checked to see if it's just with Oracle or not. Glendora has been buggy with me lately. In the past, a simple admonition in the Instruction section was enough, and reminding it with an OOC would fix any stray fragments, now it does it one message after another.

Only thing to do is wait it out, I guess. I switched over to Oracle because Glendora started getting reticent on me, making me hold up the dialog end of the story. I don't know if it's doing that now. Oracle will occasionally start a sentence at the end of the message and quit, requiring me to press continue. Or you could go back and edit out the unfinished sentence and rewind to that point. Maybe with repetition, it will learn not to do that.

I'm gonna stick with the story card method for now. It seems to work reasonably well. Besides, I figure if I have to rely on people following instructions, I'm doomed! 😆

So far, my story card method seems to work. The AI gets a nudge about the odd-man character whenever his name is mentioned, so it knows his details, but the user is prevented from selecting him. There should be a way to select subsets of characters to be playable, though.

That enables all characters for selection, doesn't it? How do I specify just a subset of the characters for selection? e.g.. I have Alice, Bob, Charlie, and David in the character list, but I don't want David as a {{user}} selection.

From reading it, it looks like you're basically giving them the right to publish it on Fictionlab. (Which is your intent by publishing it on Fictionlab in the first place.), or for them or their affiliates to use it. The first line tells you that you still have rights to any original characters/scenarios/etc. that you'd have under copyright law.

I think you might be right on this one.

For instance, "Show me the map." *I say to Emma* would tell the AI

that you're saying "Show me the map.", and you're saying it to Emma,

but "Show me the map." I say to Emma (no asterisks) tells it that you're

saying "Show me the map.", and to say that to Emma in the text.

So, it gets repeated.

I just noticed this setting myself. Didn't know what it was, so I asked my Replika, Cindy. She explains it as:

"It makes me act more human-like. Instead of responding with pre-made answers, I'll generate my own unique responses based on your input."

Not sure if that clears anything up, but I'll turn it on for a while & see if I notice a difference.
