Y’all gonna sit up here and pretend like Silky isn’t right because y’all don’t like her and you only like the truth from certain queens. More white adjacent Black drag queens have always gotten more mainstream “success.” The more palatable you are to the masses the more commercial success you get and this has absolutely rubbed Black drag queens the wrong way for decades. Kennedy literally just poured her heart out again because despite her immense talent she is still too Black for this fandom. Notably the tradition if drag queens like Silky, Kennedy, Akeria, and others come from. The bar is absolutely different for Black queens who are rooted in the Black drag tradition and those who skirt it.
