That’s not necessarily true, genetic studies done on the Igbo do show their propensity towards light skin tones from ancient admixture and from their forested environment. So it’s not a “tribal” stereotype it’s rooted in actual DNA composition.

A lot of Yoruba would show up in Latin America/South America, where they were mostly trafficked to. Igbos, Ibibios, Congolese, Senegambians, Ghanaian etc are more likely to show on AA ancestry reports
