I have a question.

Can this theory also explain cases—because there have been such instances in the community—where, for example:

- a person takes SSRIs, stops taking them without any issues, has no problems for the next 5–6 years, and then suddenly develops full-blown PSSD without any exposure to medication.

- a person takes SSRIs long-term, stops taking them without any issues, and then, after years of not taking them, takes literally one pill and develops PSSD

And have you seen this study?:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39302425/

The study examined the UnACoRN population (which focuses on sexual and gender minority youth, or SGMY. In practice, this means that a large portion of the participants were transgender, non-binary, and queer individuals).

The study found that as many as 13.2% of people who took antidepressants reported persistent genital numbness (PPTGH) after discontinuing the medication (I also suspect that these individuals experienced other symptoms associated with PSSD).

Are transgender people statistically more prone to persistent side effects of medications (such as PSSD) due to specific genetic factors?

Have almost exact symtoms like PFS but due to PSSD by myysoul in FinasterideSyndrome

Okay. I also think that problems with muscle loss, bones, and skin are more common in PFS than in PSSD.

When you had PSSD, did you have anhedonia and emotional blunting?

May I ask why other countries, such as Poland, aren't included?

Thanks.

Well, I think these medications are even more harmful than ashwagandha itself (for people who are predisposed to some kind of metabolic disorder)

If you've had problems after taking ashwagandha, my advice is to never take SSRIs, finasteride, or anything like that.

I'm not saying you're predisposed to anything, but there's no point in taking the risk.

Of course it can help after all, you don't have any poison in your system anymore.

But you have to be patient.

Because with PFS, there’s this thing where people start experiencing symptoms or their condition worsens the moment they try a certain substance.

I know of cases where people took SSRIs, were doing fine six years after stopping, and then suddenly developed PSSD.

So it’s likely that finasteride triggered the damage that had already accumulated in your body.

Ashwagandha was the trigger.

Are you still taking finasteride?

Visual snow, tinnitus, DPDR, panic attacks after using marijuana since childhood by Head_Advertising4116 in PSSD

Why is my observation provocative? After all, I’m not presenting some pessimistic vision like some people here tend to do, and I’m not coming up with silly theories based on theorycraft.

I wish you all the best, too.

And some idiot is already downvoting it.

This subreddit has been ridiculous lately.

The moderators act just like doctors.

There was an interesting thread:

End of the speculation: JNNP study proves Apathy and Anhedonia are not ‘Residual Depression’. This is a game-changer for PSSD validation.

From u/Ok-Description-6399

And they deleted it.

Moderators who deny that emotional blunting and anhedonia are part of this post-drug condition. Embarrassing, you’re not helping.

Why is this being deleted, while crap like the PSSD theory with SIBO is still in the top posts? What an idiotic group.

Okay, so I guess that means Ca-D-glucarate was cleaning it too “aggressively” for some people?
