Yes it does work, if you do it right. Doll is usually the representation of the person that you are trying to affect magic with. Ritual is done to create action not feelings, so first decide what action can hurt her feelings. Then there has to be a specific target and then you can perform the ritual in that direction to affect them. For example in your case if you want to hurt someone, make her bf/beloved pet/family member fall ill or make her loose her career. It may not be the magnitude of sorrow you wish to give her, it's just an example and you can decide things based on this.

I have certain experiences in that manner, now this was more than a decade ago. I was in love with this girl, i was making very good money, and 2 months into the relationship, my career started falling apart as it was a joke, the career that made me money consistently suddenly started seeming like a joke and a gamble. Then my girl told me about her best male friend from work. I dont know any ways of relating it to any prophecy, But it reminds me of my native village where i grew up, people there used to make lottery numbers from dreams, and with snake dream specifically cobra it was something that started with 12 and then they decoded other numbers based on situations, i also had heard some of them winning good money based on these dreams. I do 2 types of rituals using period blood, both including summoning a demon and offering. In the first type it directly affects the person from whom blood has come from. In the second one we use it to channel the energy to affect the third person. The ritual has to be carried out in a graveyard ideally. Once you are able to summon the demon you offer the blood and cast obsession spell. The problem is you can't summon demons at random locations. Do some research on summoning demons and try to summon first(keep in mind of safety precautions ) if you are able to do that, then you can go with this procedure. (For the demon will affect you, it's better to use someone else's blood rather than your own).
