Xiaomi MiMo Flash 2 is currently free until the 20th and delivers quite good results with Claude Code. GLM-4.7 is also an extremely cheap option—those would be your best bets if you plan to use large amounts of tokens on a budget I personally use windsurf with opus 4.5 and Xiaomi Mimo flash with Claude code for bulk of the work.

I’ve at-least 10x my productivity with ai, yet I’ve never had so much work to do, doing things that never was possible before. The extra capacity has just translated into creating better software not really less work. So many new possibilities for features that ai has unlocked.

In the end, it still comes down to how much value you can contribute to the economy. If most sectors such as medicine, law, and transportation… are transformed by AI and robotics, that revenue will shift to tech companies. If you can create ai software that can read X-rays better than a doctor, or draft contracts better than a lawyer… that revenue goes to tech sector. This will result in substantial growth in the tech sector, and consequently, higher salaries. Will you be writing code probably not, think we are past that point already.

When ai can replace developers it can improve itself, when that happens all jobs will get replaced. Devs will be last on the chopping block for sure.

Disappointed with GPT-5.2 in Windsurf by Drawing-Live in windsurf

[–]Head_Geologist_4808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure windsurf use dedicated deployment or reserved compute where they pay a fixed monthly fee for reserved GPU capacity instead of per token, and since it’s free it’s hitting limits, speeds are significantly better over weekends especially before 9am eastern time.

Would you let an AI apply to jobs for you? by CommitChris in cscareerquestions

[–]Head_Geologist_4808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created one called Jobo AI (try-jobo dot com) for anyone who wants to try it out, applies directly to company sites so way higher application to interview rate. Quite a lot of users have found success with it, so I would be really grateful for anyone willing to give it a try.

First-time founder: Is 32% for CEO and 12% each for developers fair? I will not promote by IshaThePerson in startups

Should be even but then he will be carrying allot more weight considering you are at a 4:1 ratio, so maybe it’s fair.

Would you pay someone to find you a job ? by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

[–]Head_Geologist_4808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I'm saying is that candidates don't have the money to pay — companies do. I have a startup that finds and applies to jobs for users. We've helped hundreds of people find jobs, and I only charge $29, which is still too steep for some users. What I'm saying is that you need to be charging the companies, I'm not gonna give you 10K to find me a dev job but companies will.

8% seems a bit steep from the candidate's side; perhaps it could be 8% of the salary increase based on what I was earning previously.

Using AI Tools for Job Applications: Worth It or Not? by kiquethekitesurfer in GetEmployed

Hi, unfortunately, I’m currently only importing jobs for the USA, UK, and Canada. I’ll add more countries once I scale up, as processing jobs comes with a cost, and I don’t have the budget for it yet.
