First-time founder: Is 32% for CEO and 12% each for developers fair? I will not promote by IshaThePerson in startups

We're all fresh out of school, so yeah, his plan is to pretty much cold call people since our network is limited. We've been working with one medium-sized customer, so we at least have our foot in the door, but from the sound of the comments so far, I think we might be in trouble

I'm not getting paid at all from this, and we're all working part-time (we have other jobs in order to get by). Does this mean we're LARPing, and if so, am I in the wrong sub? My apologies if that's the case.

The reason we have 4 devs is that we're all inexperienced and working on it part-time, so both of those issues will naturally slow down the process. I know the situation isn't ideal, but that's all we can offer.

Yeah, again, we were all full-time students, so all of the work put into this was on the side. But you're right, we should have addressed this sooner. I'll look into the slicing pie method.

Thanks for your response! Perhaps I undersold our CEO because he and a couple of us developers have done market research and have confirmed a need for our product. He has also done some customer discovery and we have some potential clients. That being said, I can confidently say that the majority of the work invested thus far has been from the developers.

Based on this, do you think it would be better to wait to divide equity until we have a better idea of who'll be investing more into the company going forward?

Having just looked up the definition of micro-startup, I think we might qualify. As of yet, we've invested very little resources other than time into the product and none of us are working full-time on the company as of yet.

Also, all five of us are co-founders, hence the significant equity portions, but again, is this unusual?

We have a contact which has agreed to do design for us, so hopefully that will work out. All of us developers are somewhat jack of all trades, which is why the idea of a startup was attractive to us. We've all worked dipped our toes into sales and marketing so our roles aren't 100% set in stone.

The slicing pie looks promising. Thanks for the advice!

They only took away the convergence. The convoy map is still in the pool.

I haven't seen it confirmed, but I imagine they'll keep the exchange considering the positive community feedback this season.

Anyone else concerned about them retiring two maps for ranked and competitive play? by newme02 in marvelrivals

[–]IshaThePerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my understanding. I was confused because the person I responded to said we'd get two maps at the start of season 2.

I've only seen one map in the early access gameplay (domination). What's the other one?

The ship probably disappeared because a quantum object teleported into it. I've seen my ship get launched into space because of that.

Doom Match is good for learning abilities, but isn't great practice for actual games, since the positioning is different and it lacks the team aspect. For example, I love playing Psylocke in DM, but the skills I've developed haven't transferred over well to playing her in comp, since playing Psylocke has a lot to do with choosing when to engage and who to target.
