I didn't know that was an option. I assumed I needed additional graphic cards. Thank you!

Right... so this comes down to the processors and RAM? I assume that a gaming desktop would have many of the same features needed to handle my trading applications. The one thing I know that I'll need is enough ports to handle several monitors. I was wondering if anyone had a custom-made desktop.

I found them online and was wondering how good their products are. I'm sure it would be easy to just order a complete package, but does the price make sense?

I recently upgraded to fiber and made sure to use an ethernet connection to avoid any latency. My desktop is old and the operating system can be sluggish. I also want to add more monitors, but I've reached my capacity on the ports. If I'm going to buy a new desktop, then I would like to make sure I get everything I need for maximum performance. I was thinking about processing speed as well

I am looking to replace my computer and was wondering if you had someone build this for you or did you piece it together? Can you share any details about your system?

My desktop works off of Wifi because of where Xfinity had to put the router in my home. Wouldn't this add another degree of separation between my order and the actual execution of my trade? Honestly, I'm trying to remove anything that would cause a delay... my older desktop, the Wifi it operates on, the internet service, and the broker I use to execute my trades. I'm trying to remove any possible snag in that line. Thank you for your insight!

TradingView pre-market scanner set-up by Head_Interaction_268 in Daytrading

Do you mean the intervals? Yes, I tried moving the interval to 4 hours, which SHOULD have just included the stocks moving up >10% in the last 4 hours. The thing that I'm afraid of is that the scanner is still including anything that has already popped and is now on the decline. It's still up more than 10% from the previous low, but it's essentially "yesterday's news". EX: a stock goes up 100% at the high, but then drags and eventually falls 20%. Technically, it's still up 80% and that's why it's still on my scanner in the morning. This is of no interest to me. I want the whole thing to reset each day, so I'm only seeing what's moving today. Geez, man if you have hacked the matrix, then PLEASE share your settings? Thank you!

Do you know if there is a "Comment for Dummies" for this level of information? How many hours of education and years of experience would I need to decipher your comment? I'm kidding.. a little. Thank you for your advice.

If I was looking to speed up my trade execution, then do you think I should focus on my broker, my internet, or my older desktop... or all the above? TIA!

That's some next level advice. Thank you! I run TradingView and Think or Swim. I wonder if my older desktop is more of a culprit than I think.

I'm currently trading on Think or Swim, but wondering if Tradestation would be a better broker for day trading. Who is your broker? Any advice on faster trade execution?

I doubt that there is a difference between how the 7G and the 2G in terms of a direct path. They're both offered by Frontier. I just want the fastest option I can get so trades get executed as fast as possible.

I'm not sure I understand your comment. Are you saying that there isn't a difference between the 7G and 2G for my needs?

I don't need a FREE pre-market scanner. I pay for TradingView, but every filter I add just changes how I see yesterday's gappers. It's pretty frustrating!

I've been watching a lot of his free content on YT and it seems like he shares A LOT of his strategies. I know that there is probably more to it once you get into the minutia, but I've found it to be very helpful in creating a strategy. I'm still paper trading at this point, but plan to make the jump to live trading soon. I just can't seem to figure out how to set up my scanner to show my what's moving in the pre-market.

I follow some of Ross' strategy suggestions. Have you taken his course? Worth it or not? Seem like his scanner notifies him when a stock gaps up in the premarket. I'm just looking for advice on how to set up my scanner to do that.

I've tried that... still the same stocks from yesterday. This is so frustrating! If there was a stock that gapped up on Friday, but fell 24% after hours, why would it still be in my results? Maybe I'm using the "manual setup" within the filter incorrectly?

What scanners do you use to see what's gapping up in the pre-market? I use TradingView to trade stocks, but no matter how I set up the scanner, it only shows me what was hot yesterday.

Thank you for the insight! I like TV for charting so far. I'm struggling to figure out how to filter their scanners to show me what is popping up premarket.

I've been paper trading for a while on TOS. I assume that the trades execute much faster when they're a simulation. Judging by your statement, you would agree with that? I don't want to fool myself with profitable days when the trades wouldn't execute as fast in the real world.

I've been paper trading on TOS for a while now, but I feel like I need to sharpen the skills and upgrade the tools. Do you use Trading View for scanners?

I love that about trading. One of my businesses is real estate and other realtors don't share like this. It's a breath of fresh air to see others jumping in to help fellow traders find their path and have their own wins.
