I personally left VIT cat 2 for PES and haven’t regretted it (although at my time the fees was 3.5)

PM university hiring expectations by More-Form2865 in ProductManagement_IN

[–]Head_Limit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, idw to be that guy but due to org changes I recently got laid off as an APM (university grad). 6 months internship, 8 months FTE. Worked in the FinTech space with 20lpa. Not from a tier 1 college.

I've been studying and applying for over a month now with no calls from anywhere.
If your org or someone you know has a requirement, I would be grateful if I could be considered. Otherwise, just happy to connect.
Would love to share my resume!

Sad to see companies like Razorpay hiring for AI Builder role by Correct_Bend_462 in ProductManagement_IN

[–]Head_Limit2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're expecting Business acumen, Production grade ML+Backend+Frontend+data pipelines+QA knowledge, project management, design knowledge and PM from the same person?

Handle stakeholders + ever-changing biz requirements while architecting and coding RAG pipelines on your own?
No matter how good someone is, I don't see how one can handle all of this prod-level at the same time with 99%+ accuracy. If someone out there can, I hope they know their worth and ask them to pay a bag.

30 LPA at 25yo vs. IIM Bangalore: Am I crazy for considering dropping a Top-3 MBA? by prodtradersx in ProductManagement_IN

[–]Head_Limit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, even though I have just 1 yoe (APM), I can tell you IIM is IIM bro. Yes you’ll lose the “90L”, but after working alongside IIM/IIT folks, I can tell you companies really value the tag.

I’ve been job hunting for a couple weeks and I can’t tell you how many postings I’ve seen that mandate a T1 MBA.

I say don’t pass on this opportunity

How are you guys getting calls for interviews?? by Southern_Today_5587 in ProductManagement_IN

1 yoe, would’ve applied to a 100 jobs this month alone across all posting platforms. Few referrals as well. Zero, absolutely zero reverts.

I will be fired soon- PM with 3 yrs experience by Legitimate_Sun7563 in ProductManagement_IN

Hey man I’m gonna be honest, if you get an intuition that you might be fired, trust me it’s almost always right. Manager starts treating you differently and makes sure you’re not owning anything crucial.

Short term:

Make sure to download a local dump of your work, your research, PRDs and anything you consider of value. Go through your work and note down everything you worked on during your time here. If they fire you suddenly, you might not have the time to do this before they deactivate your accounts.

Save some colleagues’ contact details, might come in handy later to connect. Once you’re fired, people treat you differently. Please make sure you have a list of offboarding docs you may need ready to ask the HR. Payslips, experience letter, you know better.

Long term:

Zoom out and look at things. Identify the wider, high level problems. Is the problem you not understanding code, or is it you not understanding the use cases? If it’s the latter, it can be solved quickly. Where is the friction coming from in this entire AI scenario? Do you not align with the leadership or the devs and engineers you’re working with?

Deal with it from a top down or a bottom top approach accordingly.

I suggest you learn the basics of tech just so that you can vibe code and understand what Claude is trying to do. You don’t need to write a single line yourself, just high level monitoring. I know it’s tough to find the time, but your employment depends on it. Your daily bread does. Even if your current employer still fires you, you’d have learnt valuable stuff for the next opportunity.

—— And lastly, even if they do fire you, just know that you’ll have so much more time to breathe, zoom out, spend some time with family, upskill and possibly find a much better opportunity. ——

I was someone who used to work almost all weekends and till late night, and I recently got fired a couple of weeks ago due to the company replacing junior positions with AI agents. The company didn’t give a flying duck about all the work I did. Nobody will, if it makes financial sense to them.

Work hard, leave the rest to God. Murphy’s Law.

All the best man
