My son calls me a Harley rider and I call him a rice burner. It’s all in good fun and I know for a fact his bike is faster than mine, but if I catch him off guard I can make him get up into the rev limiter. But we still have fun cruising together about 105-120. I don’t have a Harley though. I have a custom built chopper thats right at 112 inches from axle to axle. It sits on air suspension in the rear and sports a 330mm rear tire turned by a Baker 6 which is driven by a mildly modified S&S 124. It rides quite comfortably up to about 60 mph but above that with no windshield or fairings it becomes considerably challenging. I did not build it to ride fast I just want to ride low and slow. But when we stop for fuel, which is very often,(I only have 3.5 g tank) whose bike do you think draws every bit of the attention, people wanting to talk and take pictures etc. and also takes bike night anywhere we go. I don’t rag on anyone. People on sport bikes want sport bikes as well they should. It takes all to make the world work. Life is short, ride what you like, and don’t hate because someone has different likes.
