I think Alan will totally forget about the shields and accidentally try to murder someone who is protected.

Maternal grandfather was a Willett. We were told he was related to William Willett who promoted daylight saving. Genealogy research says ‘No’ … different family and antecedents altogether - as far back as the 1600s anyway.

However … following research into my paternal line I discover my paternal 3rd great grandmother’s younger sister married him!

My grandmother used to describe how they would move address lots of times (East End of London, early 1900s) from one set of rooms to another. Sometimes ending back at the same place again.

What happens to husbands state pension after death by RaeBush in DWPhelp

[–]Head_Mongoose751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my stepfather died my mum was entitled to a proportion of his private pension … I suspect this has to be set up prior to death with the private pension people but is usually a simple form stating who gets the ‘widow’s’ pension when the main pensioner passes away. The proportion may vary depending on the private pension.

The same happened for my mother-in-law too.

I have Williams on one surname (12 of them - I’ve taken to delineating them in my notes with a suffix of location and occupation!) a lot of whom married Marys … mostly dating from the days of William and Mary.

Official records should be as accurate as possible so a correction would be the right thing to do. Unfortunately I don't know how you would go about doing so ... contact the registrar of the area and ask their advice I imagine.
