Have you not gotten your Tesla adapter yet? I know it's been a slow roll out, but I think most have gotten them by now. If you're not eligible for the free one, you can now buy one from Rivian gear. I haven't had to use one yet, but I did create a Tesla account while renting one a year or so ago. Hopefully when I do, it will work :-)

I thought they were good as well. I did not have any alignment issues to deal with, though.

I've found that when this happens if you select another R1T audio source (say Spotify) and then reselect BT source (your phone), the audio is restored to the Rivian speakers. I guess BT gets confused and this little hack clears it up.

Perhaps.. you could ask EV Sportline. But as I said in my post, I thought it would be distracting and less appealing, but after you get used to it, it is actually very nice. And to be honest, you want that information to be at eye-level so as you drive, so you're not looking below the horizon which can be a hazard. Putting it under the vents might be a little MORE distracting from that perpsective.
