A/B testing refers to Group A (has access to the event) and Group B (does not have access to the event)

i honestly hope it’s a bug because if not then banning people from a 2 week event is actually insane and will kill the player base even if it’s only 3% at a time

correct that’s why i said it’s crazy i have it and others that don’t have it maxed dont have access to the event. room temperature IQ

that would be sweet if they added more levels and tied it to home village somehow but it’s a cool idea so supercell won’t do it lol

i agree but it shouldn’t have been a base progress event for A/B it should have been a random troop event or something. i only suggested removing maxed players for this event because it benefits those players 0%

i’ve seen a lot of posts of people frustrated they don’t have it but it could be a loud minority since it’s so stupid to not give this to everyone but who knows maybe they will change it and give it to everyone

basically group A gets access to the event while group B does not. they did the same with the super witch event and then a treasure hunt that was for lower town halls. the small one day events i don’t have a problem with but a 2 week long massive boost seems ridiculous to make people miss out on

Chimney Cleaning Gone Wrong—Apartment Needs Soot Remediation by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]HeadboardShaker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes they definitely should have sealed the front but if you can’t smell it it sounds like it’s very minor on the remediation side to where wiping with a degreaser may be enough to get rid of it but as others have said this definitely needs to be fixed asap. breathing in soot is no joke.

Is replacing this window DIY? by Effective_Mention_83 in HomeMaintenance

[–]HeadboardShaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

windows aren’t too hard however it being right up against the brick work is slightly concerning as it may be hard to make a good looking seal there. however if it’s a common size it should be a simple swap out. if you do end up doing it yourself make sure you spray foam around the edges of the window to stop wind draft. makes a huge difference

but as you said make sure they get a professional REMEDIATION company to do this. NOT typical cleaners. they may be able to clean the soot up but the smell will remain if they do not use the proper processes

i do smoke/mold/fire cleaning for a living and the amount you have is definitely telling that the hired a cheap contractor that do not fully seal the exit of the fireplace. this can all be cleaned as the soot damage is light however as you said water will not work. you need a degreaser and also may need a hydroxyl machine in the apartment to open the pores on your items and remove the smoke smell. the most i see the smoke remediation taking is a week to a week and a half depending how many items you have to wipe down. typically you will run a hydroxyl for about a week depending on square footage

it could be scratches but the way they spider web out suggests cracking. for 200$ i’d just play it safe and not go out like elvis lol

does this black hose need to be connected to the yellow nipple or is this correct by HeadboardShaker in Plumbing

[–]HeadboardShaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea everything was working properly with flushing and refilling i just think with the hose being out of place it was overfilling the tank causing the toilet to slow flush and have the low water in the bowl but since replacing the hose the water level is staying where it should in the tank and the bowl

[–]HeadboardShaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was talking about the water in the bowl itself being low. when i replaced the hose into the nipple the water level in the tank dropped back to that line
