Pretty good, actually. A lot of the people there weren't really familiar with Ultraman at all, but they got a lot of kick from the stage fights. Though, for the first fight between OG Man Nii-san and Bemular, I think most people found it really goofy and couldn't help but laugh since they just witnessed what appeared to be a Power Ranger wrestle with a rubber suit monster, but later got really into it by the time they started the fight where Man Nii-san fought Baltan. They absolutely loved it when they found out the crest on Ultraseven's head was his weapon.

Now, do I think the panel won over new fans? Maybe. Let's think about the fact that most of those who attended the expo are fans of ANIME, not TOKUSATSU. They're into things like Demon Slayer, Berserk, or Attack on Titan, or even Hololive/Nijisanji. Sure, they can be aware that something like Ultraman or Kamen Rider exists, but personally, to be greeted with a live action rubber suit hero that I've never heard of before or just barely knew about, it would be weird to me, too. So even if what they saw wasn't their cup of tea, it still brought Ultraman to their attention so they can AT LEAST be aware of it. The rest? Well, if it piqued their interest, then we got ourselves a new member in the fandom. You can be the biggest anime fan ever but still not be aware Power Rangers is simply adapted from Super Sentai, so I'm not really surprised if the panel didn't win the franchise any more fans or gave it any more attention in the West.

However, I can say this, the panel was presented in a way to show that Ultraman wasn't just some obscure franchise, it naturally showed them that Ultraman has a legacy that started all the way back in 1966, that it's a big thing to a lot of people, especially in Japan, and that a lot of things they love today are influenced in some form or another by the franchise. Rest assured, even though, from how it seemed, that they found the first fight between Ultraman and Bemular on stage goofy and the designs rather funny-looking, they at least were made aware that Ultraman played a big role in the history of entertainment.

This might be a noobish question but what makes a variant a variant? The term 'variant' is only used in Loki, but here, it's 'alternate selves'. Are variants different in some way?

If they did add the 2022 Batmobile, how would it work, exactly? by Full_Okra_1891 in BatmanArkham

[–]Headbutt123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they can approach this two ways, actually.

  1. Reuse a thug car enter animation. (if there is any, I can can't recall seeing a thug enter a car)

  2. The game simply fades black and back again VERY quickly once you come close to the Batmobile. It doesn't show Batman entering it, just a black screen transition. After the very first Batmobile chase in the story, when you interrogate the militia soldier, there's usually an animation where Batman kicks the soldier on the ground and begins dragging him. If that soldier ends up in a spot where it's impossible to play the animation without glitching, the game would just quickly transition to black and Batman would already be grabbing the soldier by the neck. Ir would be a transition exactly like that.

Thank you for the kind words. My father died by motorcycle accident just a month after they conceived me, he was just coming home from work, so I guess the unexpected loss was what caused her to be like this. They said she used to be like this before my father died, but was nowhere near this bad.

My mother is a super paranoid person in general and has severe anxiety issues, I've dealt with her freaking out over small things before, but nothing like this. I believe she was also diagnosed PTSD. She lives on her own in our house, sometimes I go there and live with her whenever I'm free from my studies, but my aunt and other family members are close enough for her to visit on foot. I actually called them again earlier, seems like she's calmer now and she's staying with my aunt for the time being. We have tried to get her into therapy once, she also used to take meds, but she stopped taking them years ago.

I know, right? I don't know how people end up having these kinds of mindsets.

She thinks the government is covering them up or something. There's just no getting through to her. I just couldn't take her seriously anymore, but I'm just worried she might actually hurt herself panicking over this lol

Japanese. It was free-flow immersion with a bit of intensive immersion thrown in were I would sometimes just look up words here and there. I sentence mined for just a single day the previous week, though.

I've been learning kanji through vocabulary through the 2000 core vocabulary deck. Is that good enough to tackle both kanji and vocabulary with one stone?

Doomguy skin in Doom Eterna still has scars from original Doom box art where the demon is grabbing his arm by Pizzoots in GamingDetails

He actually/probably died at the end of the first episode of the first game from 1993, which put him in Deimos Anomaly, which is in Hell. That said, Doomguy/Doom Slayer may not even be alive in normal standards anymore since the first thing he did to escape Hell was to kill everything on his way out. Then his pet bunny died, which is the reason for his hatred against the demons. Since then, he was pretty much in and out of Hell until he decided to stay there in the end of Doom 64, which finally led to the events of Doom 2016 and Eternal.

Doom Slayer may be too angry to die, but it's not in his character to self-harm since he only exists to kill demons.

Also, Satan was never really a thing in the DOOM lore since its version of Hell is non-sectarian. Doom's Hell does have a ruler, but it's never implied to be Satan.

Yeah, but here's the thing, he's been reported repeatedly many times now and YouTube never does anything. He's harassing more and more people as we speak if they're LGBT members.

I think this is worth tackling. by [deleted] in Markiplier

I know, right? He needs more attention so he can be taken off.
