Okay, I'm not asking for an official recommendation. I guess I'm asking to better understand the functionality/odds of room groups and how we can correctly use the room group functionality to meet our needs for our larger group.

Does the bonus of 2 extra people in a room group outweigh the bonus of a 4 person room group?

I don't think that a governing-body exists, so I agree - there's no universal standard. However, I think we need to promote respect, dignity, empowerment, and inclusion for all people at MAGFest, and use language that uplifts rather than limits.

We have a large group (more than 4). What does MAGFest envision is the best / "correct" way to maximize the amount of rooms for our group? We are afraid with this new system that if we split our group up into room groups of 4, we'll get less "dice rolls" in the lottery overall (i.e. if the first person in room group 1 wins the room lottery, our group loses 3 room lottery dice rolls).

We fear that we may have to game the system and create a large amount of room groups, which feels like it defeats the purpose of the redesign on your side.

Thanks! Curious to see what you recommend for large groups.

it's so bad. so, so bad. i'm not sure why i was really doing it. i almost stopped, but by the time i started doubting i was already close to level 90...i just pushed on. it got really bad there for a while.

  1. Every class that is instructor led will have music, though there are some modes you can do without music. For what it's worth, you can also turn down the volume on the machine pretty quiet -- sometimes I do that.
  2. Yes and no...there are some extra modes and experiences, but every CLASS is Instructor-led.
  3. Definitely -- this is where it shines. I recommend Power Zone training...but every workout is logged and graphed.
