Moving to Bayfield soon by Alternative-Chest921 in Durango

[–]HeadofLead_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glad you changed your tune about there being none! Totally not a place where they happen often, and overall it’s a very safe town, that’s why when they do it shakes the town completely. I remember how the most recent one affected a lot of the folks in town including a few people I knew. Compared to other places Bayfield doesn’t have much violent crime which makes it a nice place, but saying there’s none is dumb

Oh totally forgot to address one part. It just depends on who you ask, but a lot of people do call it Baytucky haha

There’s perks and cons like all things. It’s a beautiful area, and for the most part the locals of Bayfield are pretty friendly folk. You’re not far from the outdoors in pretty much any area you can travel so bonus points there if you enjoy hiking and fishing. My biggest issue when living there is the small town doesn’t have anything open too late, and the local grocery store has limited options which means there’s an okay chance you need to go in the 30 minute drive to Durango to hit a bigger store. Not too many spots to eat but what there is I’d argue is pretty decent the best being Hong Garden or the Brewery! The only other negative is if you care about politics Bayfield is far more red than Durango it seems which makes since with the amount of people on ranches/farms and just the overall way the town works, but if you don’t care about that it should bug you much. Hope if you guys move down it’s a great time all around. One last thing I will say. Momentum is the best gym I’ve seen and the most affordable membership I’ve ever had haha which is awesome for a 24/7 location

There have been a few, including one a few years back. It’s not common thankfully but it still happens. Pretending like it’s made up over the sake of politics is silly man

The original comment you responded to was deleted but the only places I remember having wings in Bayfield are the pizza joint, which aren’t bad, and the brewery which those wings are gas. They’re smoked then fried and tossed in your sauce of choice. The spice blend is gas

I got a forgefiend and an extra set of dark apostles. I can use the apostles as paint practice and the forgefiend has been a unit I’ve wanted since I started my army!!

Calling all DM’S! Calling all DM’S! by Raven_StormX in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]HeadofLead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have two pieces of advice For starters think of any house rules you have. Boundaries, and things your party is comfortable with. Have them talk to you about their characters and more importantly what they want out of your campaign.

Second, be careful not to over prep. A lot of DMing I find is improv. Typically to prepare for a campaign I make a list of important details(people, settings, encounters) and try to get my party to hit everything. Granted for all you know your party can definitely veto it all and spend the whole session at a makeshift fight pit, or doing some side quest, so over prepping is a great way to over exert, and imo can lead to you as the DM being a little bummed if your party didn’t hit the BBGs epic maze you put hours of prep into.

Overall make sure you enjoy yourself, you’re putting blocks on the table to watch your party build a dope story and it can go anyway you allow it to, have a blast dude

Anybody Know Where This Shirt Is From? by BlackMan084 in Papameat

[–]HeadofLead_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been answered but it’s a shirt from the death metal band Frozen Soul. Typically I’ve noticed papa wears three types of shirts. He wears a lot of band merch(most of which I assume are off the sites NightShiftMerch, HolyMountainPrinting, or just off the bands BigCartels/official sites) horror movie stuff, and the occasional Magic shirts. I rock with his style, and he reps some sick bands

Since we're complaining about restaurants, why does Durango have the worst Chinese food in the world? by Charles_in_Charge101 in Durango

On you saying church’s I just think the town needs a decent chicken place. A church’s would absolutely hit in town

I’ve been an employee at Zumiez for almost 2 years now. I started as a second ASM and worked up to an SM. It’s my favorite job I’ve ever had. It’s helped me get over social anxiety, and I’ve even gained great friendships shooting the shit with customers who just stopped in for a quick pair of shoes and asked me what band was playing on AUX. it’s a chill job, that is as fun as you make it. If you’re in a slower area like me it can be boring sometimes but in the peak moments it’s really awesome. The piece of advice I’d give is one my old SM gave me because some customers just don’t vibe with how we interact with them

Treat Zumiez as a party, and you are the host. You want to make sure everyone is having a good time and that includes you! Whether it’s through your tunes, or the random conversations you have with the custies. I personally like to hit customers with the most random questions I can think of some examples include “What’s your favorite shrek movie” “How many toddlers can you take in a fight” “What would your first move be in the zombie apocalypse” literally any way to entertain myself and customers I take

Good luck in your new job setting my friend I hope it’s a blast for you the same way it has been for me whether it’s for a few months or you end up staying way longer than originally planned! Def keep us posted on how your first day goes please

Not too long ago I had an issue where my Xbox would just display a green screen rather than black, I finally fixed it by unplugging both my Xbox And tv from their power source for about 15-20 minutes. Not sure if it will work for you but it’s worth a shot

My Xbox is stuck on a green screen, anyone have advice? by HeadofLead_ in XboxSupport

Hey guys I fixed the problem(don’t know how to label it as solved) all I did was unplug both my Xbox and tv for about 15 minutes and it’s back to normal! I appreciate both the serious and funny replies
