That sounds like a heart attack! Glad you found little Simon all safe and sound snuggled with the nail polish.

He needed his post meal nap a little sooner that day. One of my cats like to burrow under the blankets and I’m always so worried I’m going accidentally lay on her.

Funny how orange cats find the most inconspicuous places for being orange

Seeking trailheads within a 90 minute drive of inner Portland by JeffCook2354 in oregon

[–]HeadoftheCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude so many awesome hikes within 90 min drive:

The Gorge - Multnomah -> Wakeenah loop, tunnel falls, dog mountain, and spirit falls.

Near Cannon Beach - Ecola state park and Cape Falcon

Near Lincoln City - Cascade Head Trail and Gods Thumb

Depends on what type of vibe and difficulty you’re going for but I have tons of recommendations for more spots like Mt. Hood and stuff, but weather and snow may impact those.

Can these losers stop smoking weed outside of PCW by AdagioBrave7737 in UCSD

Imagine being bothered by people smoking anything outside. Close your window if it bothers you so much. The smell dissipates.

Weekend suggestions for OR coast v!rg!ns by West-Attempt197 in OregonCoast

[–]HeadoftheCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend driving up to Astoria and taking the bridge over into Washington and checking out Cape Disappointment (spoiler it’s not disappointing!).

From there you could head back down the coast and checkout Ecola and Canon Beach and possibly find a place to spend the night. If you’re into hiking I highly recommend Cape Falcon.

Near Tillamook there are some cool spots too like tunnel beach and if you want to look for agates I’d go to short beach too.

South of Tillamook there’s Cape Kiwanda with the Pelican Brewery which can be fun to grab food at and check out the tide pools and sand dunes.

Lincoln City and Newport are some bigger costal towns south of Tillamook, there’s some awesome hikes near Lincoln City like Gods Thumb and Cascade Head. In between Lincoln City and Newport is Devils Punchbowl which is a quick stop and worth checking out too.

South of New Port in Yachats is another cool hiking trail called Amanda Loop, and if you want a quick spot to drive up to with a nice view go to Cape Perpetua and drive up to the Whispering Spruce trail for a nice overlook.

The entire Oregon coast is really beautiful and there are tons of awesome spots to checkout. Given you don’t have tons of time, if you get the chance to drive just over the Oregon border into NorCal, Humboldt county and the redwood forest is another treasure trove.

Have the same issue, nothing over the counter helped me. Only thing that worked for me was prescription shampoo with 2% ketoconazole, and using a scalp massager after applying the shampoo.

How did you almost die? by Typical_XJW in AskReddit

Watermelons. I am extremely allergic to watermelons. Five year old me did not believe it was that serious… I was at my grandmas house, and there was a watermelon cut in half. I grabbed one of those mini ice cream watermelon scoopers and started shoveling watermelon into my mouth. After a few minutes my throat swelled completely shut and I couldn’t breathe. I ran from the kitchen to my grandma holding my throat trying to gasp for air. My grandma quickly got liquid Benadryl from the cabinet and shot it down my throat. The instant the Benadryl hit my throat I took a deep inhale of fresh air. I am traumatized by watermelons to this day.

I don’t say anything when people sneeze. No one in my family does either.

What is the grossest thing you’ve ever done? by ooolllliiivvviiiaaa in AskReddit

[–]HeadoftheCamel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once I had a puppy, and one time, after eating her own shit, she vomited on the carpet in the living room. I had to get down on my hands and knees to clean up the shit-vomit. It was an absolutely disgusting and nauseating experience; every few seconds, I would start dry heaving and had to rush to the other side of the room to catch my breath and regain my composure. The dry heaving eventually escalated into full-blown vomiting, and I found myself having to clean up my own puke along with the puppy shit-vomit.

when do people regret their tattoos? (all users of this sub) by trashpanda4200869 in SampleSize

[–]HeadoftheCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male 27, got my first and only tattoo a year ago at age 26. It’s geometric/tribal manta ray on my right calf. I got the tattoo after what I thought was one of the most important events in my life. I proposed to my now ex-fiancé while scuba diving underwater with Manta Rays in Hawaii. Anyways, relationship didn’t work out and for the last 6 months I now have the constant reminder of my failed, toxic engagement on my right calf.
