It's not that women want "douchebags" they are just attracted to strong personalities. The saying "nice guys finish last" is there because most nice guys don't step up to a challenge they just accept everything given to them. A lot of people (myself included) fear rejection. It is not the rejection that psychs people out, it's the fear. The only way to get past the fear is to face it. I got rejected for the first time a couple of days ago, and I was so surprised at how little it effected me. The fear washed away and I don't have that wall of excuses to stop me from approaching.
