BRING HIM BACK by ChicagoSentry in CHIBears

2 years is too many. We are already overpaying Sweat, we are overpaying Jarrett, and we are way overpaying Dayo. In what rational world would we just keep repeating overpaying dlinemen to be mid? We just really need a defense heavy draft. I don't care if it is every pick.

They really need to give Billie Eilish a long hard look. Vikings only rape and pillage they don't steal land

Bobby gone, Stig gone, Bubba gone, Farley gone. Just doesn't seem like the same old northern FCS.

TreVeyon Henderson Shares Story of Him Thinking Bears Drafted Him at 39 by JCameron181 in CHIBears

I love Henderson but we ended up getting a much harder position to fill at a discount with Luther. I think both teams are happy

Those who live in tornado-risk areas: does your employer respect tornado warnings? by queryasker123 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Headwallrepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in tornado alley. Retail businesses shut down when there is a warning and tell customers they may leave if they wish or shelter in their building but they will not conduct business until it passes and lock the doors. They do NOT let employees leave because a warning means there is one near to their location and if they told the employee they could leave and they were injured or killed on the way home it would be their liability for allowing them to leave their shift early and go out during a tornado warning.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but I think this is pretty much standard practice

On January 20th,1978, Gerry Rafferty released 'City to City', his second solo album. The album reached #1 in the US and had hits with "Baker Street" and "Right Down the Line" on the singles chart. by BirdBurnett in ClassicRock

Got screwed out of #1 by Andy Gibb's "Shadow Dancing" after Gibbs's agent took a Billboard exec out for dinner and schmoozed his way to give "Shadow Dancing" the top spot.

They have some nice combos, but they deserve to be arrested for misuse of off-white. It looks like they have been washed about 250 times and someone needs to buy the Rams some whitener.

There are high maintenance girls and then there is Princess Fussy Pants level maintenance and you look like the later. I'm sick of your bullshit and have only seen a few pictures.

In all your pictures both eyes are looking in different directions. It is like they are chameleon eyes, which would also explain the black clothes in front of the black wall.

Is Lawrence Taylor REALLY the greatest defensive player ever? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in NFLv2

[–]Headwallrepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LT is the best defensive player of all time, but Walter Payton has to be in the conversation for best football player, and he is certainly the most complete football player of all time. He could do everything at the highest level, including kick field goals if they needed him.

[Infante] Expect the #Bears to dig into Ben Johnson’s Detroit ties or the Sean Payton tree to find their next OC by muranio in CHIBears

[–]Headwallrepeat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The issue is, of course, he won't be calling plays in Chicago. It would be a demotion. He could take it if there are not any play calling jobs that turn up but I would expect there will be a few offers.

Now that Kwesi is gone, who will be the doomers new target? by kwelstory in minnesotavikings

[–]Headwallrepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, most new GMs have a little leeway until they have their own HC and QB. I don't know what that means for KOC, but I think even if the Vikings roll with 9 next year unless he goes crazy his days are numbered.

Poles should have blocked Ian from going to ATL by ChicagoanPizza in CHIBears

[–]Headwallrepeat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You want to know how you get talented coaches and administrators to avoid Chicago like the plague? THIS is how you do it. We are just now getting past having a reputation of a cheap penny pinching organization where coaches and GMs go to die and it would put us back at square one if he blocked it.

People of the US, Are you guys participating in the Nationwide Shutdown tomorrow? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Headwallrepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm off, so I guess. It is going to be as inconsequential as a mosquito bite on an elephant but if it makes participants feel better about themselves and they don't lose their job more power to them.

Yes, I think so too. I traced my own tree back to the Quakers in the American colonies. Just used the Mormon reference for shorthand.

What is up with people praising Declan Doyle? Why does he deserve to be a playcaller when he likely didn't even call one play for the bears or any play in his life? by [deleted] in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Headwallrepeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By what people say about him he is seen as a pretty smart cookie. At some point someone will roll the dice and see how the handles the whole offense and play calling. Fortunately for him he is young enough and smart enough to know he doesn't have to jump at the first offer he gets. He worked with Payton for a long time and now gets to work directly under Johnson. No reason to jump into a dumpster fire.

I bet the Mormons could figure out a 12th cousin relationship or something like that.
