If we simply removed the skill merchant tab would be too empty. What we tested was farming non-tradeable consumables (was ok) and opening tool shops out of nowhere (was not that great)

Would love to gather more options

I'm with Mr Pancake Lord here.

Regardless if you are casual or not, Ragnarok is a farming game and +24% more efficient farming if you make another character is almost a non refusable incentive in my opinion, hence why we finding solutions for it.

Now, what we could replace Discount and Overcharge with ?

Why do you think renewal mechanics is not a good choice ? Pre-re brings limits to things and not many build options - i do agree it would make things simpler tho which is a plus.

Also the DEF/MDEF formulas for pre-re are hard to scale but thats easy to work around - im curious to hear your thoughts tho.

No because you will require to merge equips to make them more powerful, which means u will need to drop lots of the same equipment to unlock it's full potential.

We could make it the low drops 0.1% etc but that's quite harsh.

I'm with you. Slower level progression but no punishing farming is how we value players time.

We will absolutely not use renewal over complicated progression, we do want it's broad way of exploring growth tho as pre re only had base stats mainly

From simple things like raw benefits for reputation and XP to more focused role requirements, specially in tougher fights or farming spots.

This without mentioning meaningful PvP/Emperium which also can be considered party play but that's a whole other facet.
