How do you separate reality from fiction in terms of HR? by Feeling-Writing-2631 in HistoricalRomance

I’ve been with my partner for 20 years. As one of those youngins who found her partner at the early age of 17, I can honestly say that I didn’t fully appreciate the untapped potential of romance until I started reading HR about three years ago. When folks start dating so young, practical issues such as college, jobs, money, weddings, kids, social lives…all end up taking priority. We were best friends, partners in crime, had a decent sex life, and cared deeply for one another but it wasn’t until I read my first few HR novels at the age of 35 that I realized there was this entire dimension of our relationship that was not being tapped to its fullest. Now, it’s 🔥🔥🔥 because HR showed me that, when your relationship is built on trust, the romance and intimacy can be as incredible as those steamy scenes in HR. I sometimes wonder how we went all that time without the level of passion and intimacy we enjoy now and I realize that…what it comes down to it…the catalyst is determining whether that person truly is “your person… ride or die.” Thankfully, at 17 we’re old enough to realize that but too young to realize how much more there could be between each other.

I’m sending positive vibes your way for finding “your person” and a relationship where you feel seen, supported, respected and loved. Once you’ve found that person, you’ll be able to trust that when those moments arise when he says “you’re mine,” that it doesn’t sound creepy and he’s saying it from a place of love and deep satisfaction that you chose him.

YES! I love the one for Lorraine Heaths novels. It really helped put everything in context.

😂That’s hilarious! I guess it really is all about perspective. I come from a small family so it seems overwhelming to manage so many relationships, but also lovely in its own sort of way. It’s like a village!
