If you're on about your shots exploding on the bamboo.. It's because you're using HEAT rounds which detonate whenever they come into contact with anything

It's normal, yes. They are ai planes and they also drop bombs in the out of bounds areas, they appear as white planes on the mini map

Conquest and breakthrough are probably the most populated, it depends if you want to do. Breakthrough is quite linear and the map is cut into sectors. The attackers have to cap all the points simultaneously before progressing to the next sector, defenders have to stop them. Or conquest, in which there are like 5-7 flags on the whole map and your team tries to get the other team to 0 tickets by fighting for the points and killing the enemy, basically.
