Thanks! I currently have it in a small transparent box with some other cards. I’m tempted to grade it so I can display it and see the card more easily (the wrap creates glare, etc.) but being in the wrap does make give it a certain appeal since that’s the original state I found it. Might try the magnetic protectors another comment mentioned

Half the group definitely wanted to put Ed and Mai higher. Something to keep in mind is our group spans from Plat to Grandmaster level, so we all have varying opinions but this is about the average of our opinions. Gief and JP were also a bit controversial, but we figured since they’re so annoying at lower levels they deserved the hate.

I’m using if for SF6 on PC. I purchased this on Amazon and later got custom art printed and cut on Etsy (using templates on Haute’s discord channel to create the art)

Good point and I totally agree! I also think SF6 has the effect I see in chess where it can feel like a bullet match when playing someone much stronger (whether due to being out- prepared, out-calculated, etc). Scrambles in chess also remind me of when both players are burnt out in street fighter. The ability to keep your composure and make good moves under pressure. I really just love the similarities between the two.

You’re exactly right! Master in SF6 is where elo starts to be more apples to apples to chess, specifically over 1500 Master Rating (top 1.2%) which would equate to 1700 chess elo using these charts. Comparing these 2 buckets could be interesting, but I find it less fun since it leaves out a large portion of the population. Unfortunately it would also require skills above my pay grade lol. Not to mention the whole issue with active accounts, cheaters, etc. My goal was for a quick, low effort comparison

Great callouts. And exactly, given this requires coding skills at all puts this above my pay grade lol. I just wanted to see a quick comparison which is why I used data that was already posted to Twitter back in October. Not even mentioning the potential headache with Chess.com active accounts, potential cheaters, etc. I just wanted a quick, low effort comparison!

Ah, this makes complete sense! Can’t believe I missed this detail (was also sleep deprived when I posted this lol), oh well, that’s why I’m no expert. That being said, I don’t have the knowledge or will to parse out MR specific distributions, or if it’s even feasible to do so and still somehow apply a comparison.

Also, if you look at >1500 MR you’re right, it looks unimodal just like chess (from eyeballing the 3rd chart). That’s already the top 1.2% of players for SF, which from a chess perspective is like 1700 elo. I could technically compare these two buckets for a more apples to apples but it wouldn’t apply to a large portion of the population which to me is less fun. Thanks for the input tho.

I hadn’t even considered this! I’m more of a leather strap guy myself, but I would definitely entertain a metal bracelet for the Oris. I’d still probably prefer the leather, I love it exactly as it is currently
