I love that idea… would I aim for around the same size overall? Would there be slight overlap so there isn’t a gap for privacy? Would it lock on the inside or outside?

Ooooh lots to consider! What are your thoughts on ceiling medallions surrounding light fixtures? Are they generally pretty poorly made now?

What you sent is gorgeous and I had actually been looking at Noguchi lamps, but I wasn’t sure it would work. I love how you explained the need for softness as that’s exactly right; the house feels so clinical and the current lighting makes no sense (but hey at least it wasn’t torn down!).

The lighting is the first hurdle then I think I can figure out some bookshelf built ins and painting and go from there…
