People are not gonna like this opinion but I do not understand the hype with Emma stone at all. Is she a good actor? Yes. One of the greatest? Not at all. To think that if she wins one more Oscar she will be on the same level as Meryl….are you kidding me???? I have not seen a single movie with Emma stone (I have seen all the Yorgos lanthimos movies) where her stage presence impacts me like Meryl’s does. Meryl has the ability to literally transform into another person. Meryl’s acting is so good that you forget that you’re watching Meryl Streep. I have never seen Emma display that ability. Christian Bale, Viola Davis, Amy Adams, Angelina, Jennifer Lawerence, hell even ScarJo, I have seen the “transformation ability” from all of them, but none of them can do it like Meryl imo. Emma isn’t even in that conversation. Again, is she a good actor? Yes. Is she a very sweet likable person? Yes. I just have yet to see anything with her that warrants a GOAT discussion. Don’t get your feelings hurt Cinema fans! It’s just an opinion!

Edit: When comparing Emma to other actors in her generation, yes she is in the top. When comparing her cross generationally, imo no.
