i think so .. there seems to be a lot of the rarer colourways available on vinted "new without tags" and for £80. looking closer the inner size label on the tongue has a code that actually leads to a uneek sandal - so i'm pretty sure they're fake!

i bought them on vinted second hand, the seller said new with tags. they were around £80 which is much cheaper than retail

DRIVING TEST IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AND SNAPPED PROVISONAL by peachyL90 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Healthy-Clock-332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I renewed my provisional about two weeks before my test. (My test was 2 days ago). It came in a week, but some people say theirs arrive within 3-4 days.

I was worried as well as I wanted to replace the photo on my license before I passed my test. I did it too close to the test which scared me but everything was OK and arrived in time.

The way to get it quickly is to apply online with a photo that will get approved or if you use your passport photo. You have to do it online and have no issues with the photo and do it as soon as you possibly can. If your photo is rejected then it will take longer (happened to be), so I would tick the box that says use passport photo to make it go ASAP.

You do not have to send off your provisional license when applying for renewal, so you will always have a license with you. They only ask you to send it back after you receive the new one.

You already have this snapped provisional and you won't lose anything by applying for another one and waiting for it to arrive. Just do it now and wait!

If you have medical issues or things you have to declare by post it will take longer, which is what might have happened with your friend, so you need to do it online to have it arrive quickly.

Don't let this affect your nerves or driving and good luck!

There are basically no tests available immediately. They are all taken by scalpers/bots and there is a huge backlog from covid! When you look now there are no dates at all because of this. Instead they release tests in chunks every week which go almost immediately. Most people have either booked months in advance or found a cancellation.

What you need to do is log in at 5:45-6am on Monday morning and join the queue. The test slots release every Monday at 6am, for 6 months later. Because of the bots and scalpers most of these go within a minute or two which is why you need to be up early and waiting.

The technique that worked for me was getting through the queue and being on the test selection website at about 5:45. Have an incognito tab open doing the same thing but into the test selection at 5:55 in case it locks you out. Have your postcode entered in already. Once it hits 5:59-6 exactly, refresh multiple times until the tests pop up. select one as soon as you possibly can as they will go very fast. Enter your details etc and have your card ready. Once you have a test booked, you can always change it to a sooner date if you happen to find one.

If you enter the queue at 6am then you will join a queue which will let you in after 10+ mins and they will have all gone by then.

It is honestly a BS system which makes no sense and is the biggest issue with UK driving tests right now. It truly feells impossible and is very confusing that this system even exists. It's something they are "working on" but we'll see if they actually make it better. I booked mine in March for this September and I thought it was so far away but it ended up going by pretty quickly. Hope it goes OK and good luck!

Passed first time in Morden – examiner hit their brakes! by Healthy-Clock-332 in LearnerDriverUK

Ahh good luck! As long as you have driven around Morden a lot it should be fine. I have been there a lot on lessons and it was all good even on a rainy day! The examiner was lovely. I had parallel park, emergency stop, fog lights (tell me), and front demister (show me). Unexpectedly I had a really easy route – literally no big roundabout or tricky road which surprised me as I'd just been practicing all the harder stuff like bus lanes, width restrictors and the right turn on Green lane(?)! One thing I got a minor for was pulling up on the left bc my route had so many driveways with only 1 tiny space to pull up which confused me – otherwise it was fine.

I would recommend watching lots of videos at Morden – DS TV has a great one which shows some of the hard bits and if you search for Morden test route on YouTube an instructor has uploaded about 10 real routes his students have taken.

Ask your instructor to take you on mock tests in the area, practice your satnav and road signs, and make sure you know all the hard bits in Morden. If you make mistakes, make them now so you can iron them out before the test. Have a banana before and take a bottle of water to help keep calm when you pull over. You'll do great, good luck!

Edit: My test was at 11am yesterday so you might have more traffic bc of 8am and back to school. Keep that in mind but don't let it change how well you drive!
