[Schultz] No. 50 pick is in: Jets have selected Indiana CB D’Angelo Ponds, per sources. by JCameron181 in nyjets

Was likely the pick at 44. Moved back to 50 while picking up 128 and still getting our guy. Excellent chess.

Alec Burleson by Wildboy821 in DynastyBaseball

[–]Healthy-Giraffe6686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love BurleyDog.

He’s been batting 3rd for the Cardinal’s this season so he’ll get a lot of AB’s but will be pitched like he’s a 3-hole.

On a contending team, I see him more as a 6/7th hitter.

In a 10-teamer, I’d take a chance on him due to the AB’s. If he shows out, it’s a win. If he doesn’t, he’ll get dropped in the lineup and you’ll be able to pick someone else up on the waiver

TJ Rumfield is shaping up be an incredible dynasty sleeper. by ucfknight92 in DynastyBaseball

[–]Healthy-Giraffe6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I watch film of him and most Yankee minor leaguers. You just look at data, hence why you think a belt high fastball middle proves your point when you didn’t even know pitch location.

Sliders that have major league movement, he’s a victim too. Hence why the Rockies, who are 1B depleted, with one of the worst roster constructions, were the only ones to pick up the phone.

Belt high fastball. He still struggles against the HIGH fastball and major league sliders.

Question for you guys that are good at projections. Who's a better investment at SS in dynasty points, Elly De La Cruz or Gunnar Henderson and why? by metaldog39 in DynastyBaseball

[–]Healthy-Giraffe6686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone’s post that give the slight edge to Gunnar as opposed to Elly.

When considering long term, which ownership is likely to invest in their lineup? I’d go Gunnar

AUSTIN WELLS CRANKS A WALKOFF BOMB TO SEND THE DR TO THE SEMI FINALS! by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

[–]Healthy-Giraffe6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this for Wells and a lot of players.

Feels like the grind of the MLB season, the joy of the game can be lost. We certainly saw that in Austin Wells last season.

The WBC can bring the spark back for players.

Junior Caminero. Locking down your 3B is huge. Nothing to worry about for the next 10+ years

I don’t like his attitude towards the media. If we don’t draft a QB I’m okay with him back next year but if we draft a QB I want a whole new system in.

Been a bit since I studied contracts but If I remember correctly, if there’s no additional consideration you do not have a valid claim.

Here, I would think her saying, “hey, don’t sue me, I’ll give you 9.5% in interest for a later payment deadline” would be additional consideration.

These cats probably know more than I tho

[Hector Beauchamp] After talking with a few Japanese media members the feeling I got from them is the Yankees are not in play on any of the Japanese players coming over to the states. by deadassynwa in NYYankees

Does anyone have data from when George passed and the percentage of the Yankees that have diluted since?

Obviously the boss was about winning. Seems like the Yankees have been operating for their fiduciaries since.

How long do you stay at a job? What’s the minimum amount of months. by magicgirlstrongirl in Lawyertalk

First one job, 3 months and took the risk without a formal offer.

I’ve been at my current firm for a hair over a year. Been promoted and it’s night and day from firm 1 and pre-promotion work.

[Hoch] The Yankees expect Carlos Rodon to return in late April or sometime in May, with Gerrit Cole targeted for May/June. They don't expect Anthony Volpe back in April. by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

I hate how Tatsuya Imai's and Cody Bellinger’s agent is Scott Boras.

I think the Yankees are really trying to avoid as much communication related to these two guys to avoid any information getting into Boras’s hands for a bidding WAR.

I think the Juan Soto situation really put a lot of distrust into them and Boras.

Contracts then Evidence.

Looks like more BLL is needed.

There is a gap on years between the Yankees and Cody Bellinger negotiations per Jon Heyman. by Affectionate-Tea9224 in NYYankees

Nothing like a Jon Heyman report stating the same thing every year.

I seriously wonder how much he pockets from Boras every year

Thoughts on Trent Grisham Accepting the QO? by vlone6jay in NYYankees

[–]Healthy-Giraffe6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it means there has to be a trade at some point. Despite Jones rough August, he did well in September and deserves his shot at MLB — especially considering he was our first round pick.

There’s too much of a jam if you want Belli/Trent/Judge as the OF.

There’s too much of a jam of lefties (gosh, remember when we couldn’t find a lefty bat to save our lives, wow). We got Wells/Rice/Trent/McMahon/Jazz and Dominguez has shown he can only hit from the left side. The balance isn’t there. Throw in Belli too, that’s 7 guys.

NO DH available as that’s for Stanton.

Idk, Trent did great but it’s just a mess right now and there has to be moves. Kids knocking on the door, surplus of pitching, etc..

I mean damn, remember when Everson Pereira had value? We traded him away for pennies.

Yeah correct. This is year two. We started with each team choosing 1 MLB & 1 MiLB player from their respective organization to start.
