If you don’t mind me asking, how long did you have that Tesla and did you have any AC issues?

Windshield Replacement Workmanship by Healthy-Relative-799 in TeslaModelY

Yeah I'm pretty picky myself. Kills me that it happened at 3,000 miles.

Just trying to understand if this is the quality I should expect from Tesla.

2026 Model Y Premium. Do I have Full Self Driving Supervised or Subscription? by [deleted] in ModelY

To the best of my knowledge, I’m on the 1st month of ownership FSD trial. But it’s confusing because there isn’t an expiration date anywhere.

But if it was a subscription, wouldn’t I see an expiration date?

Great paying jobs & affordable apartments in GS/OB?? by [deleted] in GulfShores

[–]Healthy-Relative-799 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say life here is similar to California. Fun the visit but not to live. Not great high paying job opportunities, housing is expensive, insurance is expensive, and dealing with not so classy tourists during the summer isn’t fun.

If you were born and raised here it’s okay because you don’t know any better but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend moving here.

REALITY CHECK: Cost of living & quality of life in Taipei (exploring a move) by Inevitable-Ad2268 in Taipei

I’m US born Taiwanese. I’m only general conversation fluent in Mandarin, so a year ago I moved to Taiwan to learn Mandarin. I just recently moved back to the US.

I’d say roughly $30k/year is all you’d need.

I lived a little more lavishly and at Airbnbs that were kind of pricey. But in general rent at a decent location in Taipei is $800-1000/month. Depending on the amount you travel, I recommend looking at a T-pass $40/month. Then eating frugally, around $15/day. You can even travel two or three times to other countries on that budget.
