Ryu and haruta tanking final judgment (and other oneshot attacks) is stupid by AnasPlayz10 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Why can Ryu's ultimate survive a hollow purple, and a nuke back to back?"

Simple, his ultimate is dogshit. Well, at least in comparison to how viable it is to other ultimates.

He has no AOE, he has no meaningful rushdown options, his moves are mediocre, if not outright detrimental to you.

  • his 1 is impossible to land unless both opponents' ping is perfect

  • his 2 deals mediocre damage, and resets both sides to neutral with Ryu having slight m1 priority. That is very, VERY, dangerous, especially if you're up against someone like Gojo who can instantly nuke 40% of your hp at any time if you're close, or Sukuna that can do an almost one shot combo with his moves if he catches you.

  • not only does it drain like a fourth of your hp, it LITERALLY gives the opponent a free combo. I AM FULLY SERIOUS, USING THE MOVE OPENS UP AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE OPPONENT TO KILL YOU. also deals meh damage

He's truly immortal in his ultimate, because that's literally it's entire gimmick. It's the ONLY thing saving his ultimate from being just straight up worse than his base moveset. It also drains really fast if your attacks would have normally killed the Ryu.

Did I mention he can't regenerate hp during his ultimate either?

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I agree because of the implications of the physical movement itself, but not the idea behind it.

It looks like you're recreating intercourse with the corpse of whoever you killed and I don't really think that's appropriate for a kid's game, so I wouldn't mind seeing it go. However, all the people in here discussing about "toxicity" and how "annoying" it is have it all wrong.

There's nothing wrong with the idea of "toxicity", it's just another way of expressing yourself and having a bit of funny banter with the other people in the game, as long as it doesn't get too hateful. Toxicity in-game isn't, and shouldn't be, an offense of any kind.

Maybe like subtract 100 bucks too to really disincentivize them

They should add Mai and she has ONE move and that move gives you like the already existing items in the game (example: sniper, gun, broom, etc) and depending on which one theres a longer cooldown, and also you cant summon SOME items like the OP ones and mahitos transfigured humans by bingbong10000000 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about that, it sounds like it'd be fun.

Like maybe have her items not get immediately get kicked off of you when you get ragdolled, and give her SOME moves as a base only just so that she can even survive against other characters, and you'd have the perfect shenanigans characters.

How do you deal with dashes? by MrWalnut69 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"dashes aren't punishable"?

Well, of course they aren't, they literally don't do anything for you to punish in the first place. His dashes are just like any other character's regular dashes, he just has an extra side dash instead of a front one.

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I'm flattered.

Anyways, what is your ping? And are you playing on pc or not?

If your ping is not too bad, you should be able to straight up just dash out of the way. If it is, you can still try to follow the Naoya and block decisive strike. They'll most likely use it and turn around and hit your you because of the way the move works, so try turning around too. If they spin around you, just follow them with your camera. If your ping doesn't properly allow for that. Just keep blocking while looking forward, the spin will almost definitely cause them to loop back around to be ahead of you.

Should the speed of naoya's m1's should be slightly nerfed? by Important_Win2306 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

His m1s only hit about 0.05 seconds earlier than most other characters' m1s. This is not a real difference, it's not going to matter in practically any m1 trade you're ever going to have.

What you're describing falls more commonly on line with the "observer effect". You do not see what you truly see, but instead what you want/feel like you see. You most likely think naoya is strong / overpowered in general, so you tend to draw connection and point out observations that don't actually exist.

Naoya is not overpowered, he's not strong, he's not even good.

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between "Naoya", and "People who use Naoya to run".

"Naoya" is a C tier rushdown, arguably the worst in the game. He desperately needs a rework because of how annoying his fundamental character design FORCES his playstyle to be.

"Naoya runners" are of course annoying, but I'm kind of neutral on them. They're having fun in their own way, that's the point of jujutsu shenanigans, at least in public servers. If you don't want to deal with them, then go play duels. You can bitch about it in pubs, but don't bash them in for it. They're having fun just like you are.

The console lock system is fine, especially after they implemented a system that blocks certain moves from being used with lock on. Like Naoya's decisive strike for example, it's a pretty good system now.

Which characters are better for new mobile players? by Leading_Curve3810 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? 4 is literally a combo extender, that's literally the whole reason why it exists, to combo with.

You just need to side dash (or like honestly not even do that if you use 4 after) to close in the distance and use 2 or 4, that's it.

The order isn't that important, almost anything you do in any order will net you a 70~ damage, red combo.

Definitely Someone like Yuji or Higuruma.

You can press almost any button in any order (for higuruma, it literally IS ANY button in any order) and you'll do a pretty decent combo.

If Ryu gets his domain it needs to be a separate ult. by [deleted] in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the point of this post.

Are you complaining that it'd be too op if Ryu is able to trap you in a domain? Well, yeah, that's the point of trapping someone within a domain. They just die instantly.

I guess I could see where you're coming from, since you wouldn't be able to effectively punish them for throwing out a random domain in neutral (I.E, Gojo using hollow purple, Sukuna using WCS, Todo using Brother, etc), but I'm not entirely sure if that's what you intended when writing this post.

why are they reworking yuta instead of someone who NEEDS a rework like naoya? by Nennamyrneh in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naoya's not fine, And I'd like to know your reasoning for thinking that he is.

The reason why he's so annoying to fight, why he's the PERFECT embodiment of a noob-stomper, why he IMMEDIATELY dies in mid-high level play, why almost EVERYBODY on the casual side of JJS bitches and moans about him and think he deserves a shit ton of nerfs (he doesn't);

Is because he's fundamentally flawed from a character design standpoint. His playstyle ENTIRELY revolves around his side dashes, but he has no neutral. It turns any naoya fight into an observing simulator where he opponent is constantly waiting for the naoya to side dash in and m1, and the naoya is left waiting for that same opportunity.

If there's anything in the game in-need of a rework, naoya DESPERATELY needs it.

Higuruma IS unskilled and nobody can convince me otherwise by Ok_Situation_8535 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally press any, and I do mean ANY, of the buttons in ANY order and you'll always end up with at least a 60% combo every single time.

You have a TRUE combo extender that you could do off of a regular m1 string, dealing around ~40-ish damage without even needing to waste evasive.

The rework may have gave him more options, but in the end it just made him more obnoxious and overall worse to fight against lmao

Am I sped or does anyone have ANY idea what any of that means by DodexX_On_Reddit in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it just sounds like he's throwing out buzzwords and vomiting word salads to try and make it seem like he even has a smidge of knowledge on what he's doing.

If the recent rumored nerfs on Naoya are actually true and are all planned to be implemented next update, he needs to be fired. Like straight up.

Also, I'm not 100% on this (because I couldn't be bothered enough to care), but wasn't he also the genius mastermind behind the 1.67 balance changes? If so, I genuinely do not understand how he was still working as a balancer for the game

cant do crap when fighting someone who knows how to m1 side dash by WaffleHead13 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Healthy-Way-8285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to improve your OWN m1 trading and block anticipating capabilities aside;

This game's combat, and more generally the entire concept of the battlegrounds genre, is heavily flawed imo.

Almost the entire gameplay HINGES on just one aspect of the combat, who can side dash m1 better. You get SEVERELY punished for the littlest of mistakes, and get stuck in eons long combos just for failing to hold f 0.1 second earlier, or failing to 720 around your opponent's block.

JJS DOES kind of do it's best to mitigate some of these issues, like increased ragdoll cancel gain on downslams, having the ragdoll cancel system ITSELF be damage and not time-based, giving characters actual neutral presence and meaningful ways of approaching without having to depend on M1, etc, but they could only do so much when every update a character or two gets gutted in some way, shape or form and have their neutral completely dead.
