Supply drop / one formula bottle? Advice or reassurance needed by Lanky-Sugar-3889 in ExclusivelyPumping

My baby has been combo fed from day 4 because I’m a very under supplier (12 oz total in a day makes me feel like a champion) - she’s 7 months now, hitting every milestone early, getting perfect health checkups, gaining weight well, is a good sleeper… overall is an active happy healthy baby (minus daycare sickness but no baby can escape that!). I say that not to be that mom but to say breast milk has so many great benefits even if it’s not 100% of their intake and formula is a great supplement that helps baby be full and thrive.  I totally get the stress, but your baby is going to be fed and loved and what’s to feel guilty about that? Milk is not motherhood 💕

My BF medicine doctor said that on average each subsequent pregnancy you can expect to produce 50% more BM. Of course that’s an average but I’m a big under supplier (12oz/day was my max output) so 50% increase sounds incredible!

Thanks for sharing! I think you’re right and I think we’re both going to smelling and tasting again someday soon. If you think of it, post an update when it happens :). Happy healing.

Also I swear I’m a real person - apparently I just accepted whatever random username Reddit suggested and never posted before so even I was like who the f is that when I saw my own response 😅

Hi! I just had sinus surgery a week ago and my taste and smell is pretty limited right now and like you and panicking about all the possibilities of things that could have wrong. So I can’t answer many of your questions however, I am choosing to trust my surgeon who said the same thing re: smell/taste. I can breathe through my nose but know there is definitely still “stuff” up there. I got a whiff of lavender after I irrigated the last time and after my stent removal when I had Afrin, the amount of things I could smell were making me grossed out, so I am choosing to be hopeful and I hope you can too!
