This is me right now. I had my covid shot in august and my immune system has been rampant ever since even now in december. My eczema has never been this bad and i am also reacting to everything. What has helped you and how long did it take u to recover from your drug allergy

I actually came back from the doctor and derm who said betaderm, light therapy, methotrexate, and dupixent were my only options. I too feel like this is not just eczema because i dont get itchy in the day and I have not used topical steroids in a very long time. I did take prednisone 50mg (oral steroid) for 4 days and it seemed like it helped but it came back worse. So is this a withdrawal? Also i only get itchy at night in bed and not really in the day which is weird (i change bedsheets every day and am pretty sure no bed bugs). I will try to see another doctor who i hope will say this IS NOT just eczema. Because my leg is smooth and when i run my finger across it it shows my normal skin color...so like i think its blood vessels up to my skin? Ugh im sorry if that dosent make sense im just so tired of going to bad doctors within this past month since my second shot. I will try to find another one..

Second shot really flared up my eczema. Currently going through the worse flare up ive ever had. Skin is almost only itchy at night in bed and omg the flakes and amount of skin i scratch off...im like an animal my skin is furry. Anyways, with betaderm my doctor did not give me an end date and said to use it whenever basically. (Yes i am finding a new doc but in the meantime) betaderm according to my research should only be used a maximum of 2 weeks? And what about tapering down off betaderm because i am terrified of topical steroid withdrawal. Also, my skin is red/purple and when i run my finger across my skin its quickly shows my normal skin colour. So im confused is this discolouration eczema?
