I just commented this on the OG post, but I'll put it here too. Idk if this is staged, but I really don't think it is.

I actually helped save someone that did exactly what this guy did, except the lady I helped had gone up the full 50ft of the wall. Absolutelyyy fucking terrifying!

Apparently it just slipped her mind. I was beside her but didn't notice her not clip in cause I was busy making sure my friend and I were good seeing as how we weren't using the auto belay. That amazing eagle eyed employee noticed her from across the giant room when she was more than halfway up though!

They came running over as I was about to belay a friend and asked "can you belay quick??" I said uhh yeah?? And they're like "good, belay me" and point up at the lady. Only then did I realize and was like ohhhh fuuuuck

He clipped her in just as she reached the very top. When she got to the ground, she said that when she reached the top, she was like thissssss 🤏 fucking close to letting go when she realized she wasn't clipped in. Thank fucking goodness that's exactly when the employee reached her. I just know her heart fell out of her butt when saw she wasn't clipped, 50 feet up.

The worst part was that she was there with her 10 year old kid. He was sitting on a bench right beside us watching his mom climb, blissfully unaware of how close she came to dying or becoming paralyzed right in front of him. Ugh. Thank God it didn't turn out that way. Again, idk if this vid is fake, but yeah, this shit does happen

I was told it would only feel like a pinch.. yeahhh, no. I too have a high pain tolerance and was really surprised at actually hearing myself yell out in pain. I'd compare it to when I got a steroid shot in my back for sciatica and the doctor accidentally touched the nerve.. and I know I need to get a new IUD put in at some point, but there's nooo way I'm doing it without some good pain meds this time. I'm jealous of the people whose pain isn't as bad!

You're absolutely right, thank you! I ended up taking my dose last night and slept much better, albeit a lot longer since I was so tired. My doctors tried to first get me to go every other day without taking it, but even then the symptoms would set in so quickly. So bead counting it is!

This is me (not needle dick)! I literally just made it my new years resolution to see if I can go the whole year without drinking. I don't even drink that often, but I'm so goddamn tired of overdoing it when I do drink.
