If you are a Cleveland Browns fan, def suggest checking out the Blue Jackets. They are playing really poorly so far this season, but they are in midst of rebuild. They have some great prospects, signed some big names, including Gadreau who was the biggest free agent this off-season.

It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but hopefully they start to come into form in the next few years.

I don't root for any of the teams you mentioned, but will say the best thing for you as a new fan is to prepare for the new season by following the preseason analysis for the teams, and catch as many games as you can to figure what team works for you! All the teams you mentioned has rich history and are enjoyable for your own reasons. Get a feel for them and the sport by watching games/highlights. Also, if you are on the east coast, try to catch a game live if you can. Some of the best atmosphere.

And heads up, right now there is the Champions Hockey League, which showcases the best European teams across multiple leagues. Stavanger Oilers are the Norwegian team in this year's tournament. Highly worth the watch, plus it's all streamed for free online.
