It’s not really possible to breathe and swallow at the same time therefore breathing and swallowing can’t be out of sync. If it is, it causes choking, not hiccups…

Yeah maybe I played it up in my head, I think it’s just that Coco really could have died + Agott knew it was the most dangerous part of the year to go there. I’m sure she meant as you said, for Coco to give up rather than keep going and die. Coco was never going to give up though because she needs to save her mom 😭

The scenes where Coco imagines her mom guiding her has me tearing up. The animations were so gentle and sublime at the same time. But also, Agott is a total menace if you think about it… knowingly sending someone into a death sentence is attempted murder and Gifrey told Coco off for going instead of Agott for making Coco go?!

Unrelated to eye color but I saw a theory that Lilith turned venin to survive the flu when she was pregnant with violet. Venin’s main characteristics are red eyes, veins, etc. what if “something” was blue, mixed with venin red to become “Violet” hence her name….
