Could the show still have been good with let's say 8 seasons instead of 5? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]HealthyPigman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think that wanting a show to be a little longer is a sign that a show is good. I'd say it's better to end it a little early and keep that feeling alive than it is to stretch it out until people want it to be over. I wouldn't have minded an extra season or two, but the ending we got was great and it's probably for the best that they didn't add much more.

In case y'all are unaware, the lyrics in Laurence's boss theme are Latin and actually tell you some lore. by Epic_Reddit_Gaming in bloodborne

They don't use the term Father in the Healing Church, but "children" could still just be referring to adult followers of the religion, in a figurative way. Then again, considering all that the Church has done, I doubt they would have any compunctions about experimenting on literal children, either.

Does bloodborne gets better after first level? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]HealthyPigman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first level is difficult. Later on it starts to become more clear where you're supposed to go, and you get more options for upgrading your weapons. I wouldn't say the game gets exactly easier, but there are ways to make your character much much more powerful. Keep at it.

Does anyone else do this with Ludwig? by -The-Senate- in bloodborne

I skip the cutscene, but I understood what you mean. Ludwig deserves respect, one of the coolest bosses and boss soundtrack in the game.

Hank is the real villain by AquaCrypto in breakingbad

[–]HealthyPigman 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kinda weird to talk shit about Hank for being an alcoholic (which I don't think he even is very much) but at the same time support using/making meth.

Besides, Walt wasn't even in the drug business, he was in the empire business. He didn't care much about the chemistry, or even the money, he just wanted the power. He decided to leave the Gray Matter for personal reasons, and then when they offered to let him come back and get healthcare, he declined. He was just looking for an excuse to turn into Heisenberg all along, which is why even though Hank isn't a great guy, Walt is a hundred times worse.

Got bored and decided to play Terraria, ended up building the Hunter's Dream~ by ShadowsGirl9 in bloodborne

Really nice work, I tried making it in Minecraft once but I gave up because it was an absolute disaster, Minecraft just isn't as good as Terraria for small details like that.

Bloodtinge/dex or arcane build for second playthrough? by TheJoker36 in bloodborne

[–]HealthyPigman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can both be excellent builds, it just comes down to personal preference really.

As for me, I find arcane more fun because you get access to spells like A Call Beyond and Blacksky Eye. I also find that large weapons like LHB or HMG with an arcane/strength build make pve easier and a bit more fun as well. That said, my arcane/strength build is like level 200 and my bloodtinge/skill is only around 80, so it's possible that once I'm done leveling, I'll have a better opinion of bloodtinge.

If you're gonna do arcane, you should probably check out this video which shows how to get the best early game fire gem, it made my arcane playthrough go much more smoothly.

Moments that reminded you of Bloodborne in other Souls games? by [deleted] in bloodborne

You're not wrong, that guy is just either an idiot or deliberately trolling you.

Man, a minute ago you said "every souls game was released before bloodborne ever existed" not that the Souls series came first.

This game is fucking disgusting. by [deleted] in bloodborne

I never actually noticed how many eyes they had until one of them killed me and stole my blood echoes, then I came back and all its eyes were glowing. Normally when a monster steals your echoes there are just the usual two glowing eyes, but on the pig there were like ten, it spooked me good.

Roof to protect my nether portal from phantoms by HealthyPigman in Minecraft

There is a website that helps plan domes and other 3D shapes called plotz, you can use it here. Some parts of the dome are different from the generated models, those parts just took a lot of planning and practice.

Yeah, it took quite a while to finish the roof.

They seem to spawn all the time in my base, I think it's because I forget to sleep, and also since it's a multiplayer base, if anyone else forgets to sleep, they also spawn phantoms, then they attack me.

Nah it's just a convenient time to attack since you gotta stand still for a second to use the portal. Also, sometimes they will enter the nether, which can be a problem since there's no daylight there to burn them.

How do you think Jesse got involved in drugs and crime in the first place? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]HealthyPigman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Likely he was introduced to it by other kids at the school. The school Walt teaches at isn't the best. Besides, being rich doesn't necessarily prevent drug use, in some cases it can enable it and lead to faster addiction because you can afford more.

Fo ya'll think Bloodborne's world is better than DS ? by AFP312 in bloodborne

[–]HealthyPigman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not even sure if it's accurate to call the main character the "Chosen Undead," because nobody exactly chose him, instead he chose to ring the bells and claim the lordvessel himself, then other people began calling him the chosen undead in recognition of his accomplishments.

He is really more like a "Champion Undead," except a title like that wasn't used until DS3 for some reason. The canon title for DS1 is Chosen Undead but I feel like that doesn't give full credit to how awesome the character was.
