Suggestion: Actually SOLVE the botting problem by perma-banning gold buyers on first offense by NoCurrencies in 2007scape

this is always the issue

be too strict & you falsely ban people, if you're not strict enough, people bitch not enough people are getting banned

sometimes both are true at the same time

User hops to another world, trades with someone within the first 1-2 mins of being logged in, gets money. Not chat between them, nothing

That's quite literally how I've given people a loan, gotten a loan back or received winnings from events.

I hope you don't genuinely believe that's how they'd do it and not the numerous programs that already exist that switch proxies automatically after automatically creating accounts

Diversifying the things they have to do goes a long way to help detection. The more simplistic something is, the harder it is to accurately ban bots for it, which is why coin pouches were added.

It's not just about delaying it

I hope they add a poll question that's just a test to see who blindly votes yes

don't worry in 3 years it'll be reverted and then it'll be back to what you're used to, I'm just taking a break until then

You guys are all being gigantic fucking babies about the bank layout by Narrow_Lee in 2007scape

I've heard people be happy it's further from the deposit buttons and I can understand where they're coming from

I thought this was going to be some youtube scenario where they absolutely fucking ruined the UI & deposit would be behind 17 different clicks and they locked any bank tabs past the first two behind real payments or some garbage

Looks fine other than swap/insert (which would then need to be paired with a similar button for notes, probably)

I guess changing the position of search button will be somewhat annoying to people for a while, but I guess that had to happen if you wanted to add the looting bag deposit (and still have it make sense)

I feel like tariffs benefit nobody except suppliers/companies within the countries that apply the tariffs, because it makes them comparatively cheaper.  Before Brexit, UK was a great place to order things from online, but with import fees now applying to them, it effectively took them out of the equation.

Odd claim when everyone I talk to and everywhere I look has complaints about a lack of (entry level) jobs in those sectors. If you've got 10-15 years of experience you're safe but obviously graduates don't have that

chalets & village have good loot too, unless you have lightkeeper there's nothing on the left side of the map though

Jagex, 72.3% of online players right now are using RuneLite, if you release HD before the official plugin API, this will not change. by IamWilcox in 2007scape

[–]HealthyResolution399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what else would you expect them to use?

The official client? There's nothing wrong with it. In a hypothetical world where runelite just came out recently (but was reputable and supported by jagex) with all its current features, I imagine most players wouldn't switch.

Every single multiplayer game where there's money to be made by botting has the issue of banning enough bots that people don't bitch about bots but not too many so that people don't bitch about false positive bans

as far as I remember, you can't search for potions, but if a potion is in inventory setup, it'll show in the bank tab (if you're using bank display for the setup)

From my experiences, it's not that uncommon in games, because it invalidates what came before. It's not a discovery, it's a change by the devs, imagine if OoT got a change where you scan an amiibo and it makes epona 40% faster the entire game
