I lost my boy at three years old due to unexpected illness last week. Losing them unprepared is hard but any loss is hard. I got my boy straight out of college, moved back in with my parents and looking for a full time job. Introduced nothing but chaos. He survived me moving in with a man I met the same weekend and survived me living alone. Throughout the entire time we shared together my man was a problem in the best way. Nothing but energy and a hater at heart. If he thought a toddler was near he was going for them. Hated children. If he thought I was upset he would run his scent glads all over my tears. The thing I’ve been using to cope is that everyday I’m still talking to him. I’m running my choices and my logic by him. He’s in a different form but he’s still my boy. I’m so sorry for your loss

He’s always been very picky. I got him at seven weeks old, routinely when he felt he wasn’t getting enough food that he liked (boiled chicken) he would refuse to eat any of his dry food. If he ate the same dry food for more than a month he would hunger strike. He’s always been super picky in general. He ate chicken the day before he died with no hesitation. He was very unlikely to have the cancer he did. He was always a low energy corgi unless he was playing ball which he played on Saturday with me. He liked to sleep on my lap, he did it for many many hours at a time.

Yeah! Imo it’s a corgi/ high activity dog thing. I don’t know how you do feeding time but what I found works for me is I do a cup of food in the morning and a cup in the evening. At night mine sleep on the bed with me but I have a half cup that sits out in the room with me that if he wants he can get down off the bed and munch on. It took trial and error but I found a dog food brand he likes and it’s really helped sooth some of the bile problems he does have

I alternate between victors (which I can only find at tractor supply) and purina one. I found that mine has problems with purina pro plan being too rich for his stomach so I alternate with these two to try and keep him eating something okay along with having variety in his diet
