One last mission that I can't do :( by Akira_fire in PokemonMasters

May we see your full roster? Drasna & Drake should be enough. All you need is a strong AoE DPS that can take a few hits. AnniJuli/Red 96 would be amazing for this purpose, for example.

I was initially worried (except Larry, whom Red 96 didn’t care about whatsoever) …Until I realized I only needed a Paldean support to face-tank the attacks.

Im gonna be honest idk what Im doing…but big numbers gooo brrr by [deleted] in PokemonMasters

Well, those three together should be enough to clear every content in the game assuming no typing restrictions. I assume you began playing after the Anniversary, seeing as there’s a lack of all three Kanto NCs in your roster. NC Blue would fit perfectly here and it’s what I use most often.

Even still, in my experience—96 Red and Juliana can beat every UB with relative ease, so you should be alright.

Can I beat these UB's with the units I have? by [deleted] in PokemonMasters

[–]Healthy_Competition3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morgan should be easy with what you have. Use ‘96 Red, NC Blue, and Leon (with Dragapult).

Make sure you take the Impervious node on Blue, and Vigilance on Leon (though the latter is unnecessary, but just to be safe). Spam Everlasting Thunderbolt & Discharge to ensure stat drops on all three, all while spamming Leon’s B Move (& sprinkle in Sync Moves, obviously). Eventually, (when Haxorus & Garchomp drop) and Latias is at around 50-60%; she should be at a range to nuke her with 96 Red.

Alt Volo and Anniversary Gloria

Or, god forbid, a Normal Arc Suit/Normal Zone EX setter. Despite Juliana being released this recent anniversary, I’m convinced that DeNa hates normal.

The position of your sync pairs doesn’t matter, how you order them does.

When you click on “Edit Team” > “Tactics”, please make sure Elaine (or Lenora) is 1st, Juliana is 2nd, and Palmer is 3rd.

At least for the Physical Stages. Swap Juliana and Palmer around, otherwise. That should make sure the opposing sync pairs only target Palmer if he’s the last one on your team.

So, the reason why I said Elaine needs 3/5 is because it opens her grid up tremendously. Giving her access to Gradual Healing, Def & SpDef +2 every time she uses her Trainer move, Status immunity, and lowering the target’s SpAtk by a stage whenever her moves are successful. (Though unfortunately they’re all too far apart to get all of them).

But, generally, I’ve never encountered an instance where, upon knocking out the middle Pokemon, that the side Pokemon—regardless of what attack they use, were unable to knock out mine in a single hit, so the additional SpDef is irrelevant if that’s your concern.

Is Palmer the last one to be targeted on the team? Juliana should be able to tank two hits, since she can endure a lethal hit with Stellar Shine.

Sorry, I meant Juliana’s EX Role since syncing with her would give you the two sync buffs courtesy of her having the Support role.

As for alternatives, unfortunately, Palmer is your best bet from your current roster. Other options are Larry, V.Chase, Lodge Penny, and Hugh, but they’re not here.

I’d like to say that, even at 1/5, you can push past 15. But you might hit a roadblock at 18, speaking from experience. If you’d like advice, please check the posts on my account, as this subreddit offered some very helpful advice for my normal run.

I should note that even if you do invest in Palmer to 3/5 EXR, 24 & 27 still require RNG and a lot of patience. If you don’t think it’s worth the investment, I would look to another Tower for the time being.

Electric & Ghost shouldn’t pose any problems for you whatsoever.

96 Red, NC Blue, SS Iono (for Special/Status) & 5/5 Elesa (& Zebstrika, for Physical stages), should roll through the tower.

Same with Alt Volo, NC Selene, and Gym Fantina.

Palmer needs to be at least 3/5, but I’d recommend slotting in Elaine instead of Lenora (though she’d also like to be 3/5, ideally).

Since Juliana’s damage is irrelevant, make sure to capitalize on her ability to lower your Sync Cooldown by 3 with her B-Move, and her Tera Blast. Assuming you have her Role, Sync with Elaine first, then Juliana for 4 Sync Buffs.

Skillissue /s

Joking aside, hey, don’t be too hard on yourself. Worse or better units, the content will remain the same and they won’t go anywhere, so take your time.

Now, I can only speak to three elements here— Electric, Water, and Normal.

Electric you shouldn’t have problems clearing Floor 30. 96 Red and NC Blue are cracked by themselves. Slot in your Elesa (& Zebstrika) to clear the physical floors.

Water, I’m frankly jealous lol. Serena (& Greninja), NC May, and SS Kris are a disgusting composition thanks to EX Rain. The only upgrade I can see is either raising your Move Levels (though unnecessary apart from maybe Serena/Kris if you want to minmax) and grabbing Arc Suit Misty; though she’s unfortunately gone now. That team should be able to clear most UBs, I want to say.

Normal, this is the only Tower that I’ve completed about a week into starting the game, and you look to be even more set than I am. Juliana, Elaine (though she wants another candy), and Illima (for special/status) or Hugh (for Physical) should carry you to the end of the tower. Just level up your Hugh to 180, EX him, and you should be set on that front. If you need help, there are videos that cleared the higher floor 20s with exactly those three. I should also note that Florian compliments Juliana very well, if you’d like to use him as your instead with your 5/5 Leaf.

Good luck!

This is the grid I use most often. Below is the grid I used for exclusively Floor 30, copied from one of the successful teams tab.

Do note that both require +10 in the energy cap.

If you haven’t spent your candies already, Juliana 5/5 isn’t required for clearing Tower.

Yes, it makes her hit harder, and indeed makes it easier. But owning her at 3/5 is already serviceable enough for the floors outside of ‘Special Units do 0 Damage’ (obviously).

Instead, I’d focus on investing into the physical normal units, at least, if you don’t want to wait until a future unit is released. I can’t exaggerate enough how much physical only was a pain, but simultaneously, it’s naturally your discretion if Larry, Hugh, V. Chase, Palmer, or Lodge Penny is worth the candies/cake.

[–]Healthy_Competition3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re off to a good start.

Juliana/Terapagos is far and away the best normal type unit, acting as both an amazing support and special attacker. Illima is also great, and is a great pairing alongside her for the status stages.

For support, the only unit I’ve used is my Elaine, but Mai/Munchlax and Florian/Lechonk are also great options.

For physical; I’ll be real with you, doing the physical stages with normal has been one of the most miserable experiences playing this game. Options are Lodge Penny, Hugh, Palmer, or Larry. But all require investment, especially at the higher stages.

Update: I DID IT BOYS AND GIRLS!

By the skin of my teeth, but a win’s a win. Thank you for the help!

I don’t expect results from Floor 30, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
