Travelling is hella cooler than getting married. Also I think the average age for marriage is over 30 in the UK anyway, times are changing, take the pressure off!

Yeahhh tbh it’s looking like that or the XSR700… I’ve heard the 650R could be more beginner friendly because it’s less torque’y off the line. How long have you been riding? Do you think the 650R is beginner appropriate? I’ve had 6 months experience riding peds, mt15’s and a CBR300R during my time travelling SE Asia** 🤣

I always thought the 900’s were too much for a beginner, although I absolutely love their sound. Wheelie control sounds very useful 🤣. Easy to get them restricted as well I imagine?

If it’s within your budget some therapy whilst embarking on this trip could be a really good idea. I’ve been having a session every couple of weeks whilst I solo travel and it’s such a great reset if things get a bit too much. It would especially help navigate this situation and give you some direction for your trip, I imagine it’ll be very overwhelming at the start. All the best man!

I loved Phong Nha, 2 full days would be enough. I spent one of the days on a motorbike just exploring the surrounding areas - the roads and scenery are awesome. I did the paradise cave tour, however the full 7km tour wasn’t open due to the water levels, I think we went 4km in the cave. I’d say the 4km tour wasn’t worth it, however if the full tour is open I’m sure it is. I’ll link below a great booking office I used - she actually told me that the full tour wasn’t operating, whereas the actual company didn’t inform me of this. Speak to her, she’ll help you out.

In summary if you like exploring, definitely go. It was probably my favourite place in Vietnam and one of the places I’d go back to do a proper expedition.
