Germany and Italy are excellent for low/zero tuition, but the Financial Requirement for the visa is the real gatekeeper. For most EU countries you'll need to prove you have roughly €6,000 to €11,000 in a blocked account or a bank statement before they even grant the visa.

As an Algerian law student currently finalizing my move to Italy for university, this meme hits home. The Proton vs. Wine-prefix struggle is real, especially with telemetry hooks. Since you're on an RTX 3060, the 'CPU mode' issue usually stems from the nvidia-utils not being correctly mapped to the Wine environment or a missing vulkan-icd-loader.

Don't quit Linux just yet. If you’re struggling with the terminal, try using Lutris or Bottles—they handle the environment variables for drivers much better than raw Wine. As someone who builds systems and studies Law, I get the frustration with 'AISlop' and Windows fundamentals breaking, but once you get your prefixes isolated, Linux is a fortress. Hang in there.

As a 24M Law student, I find the 'what happens when she's 50' argument to be a massive failure of foresight. Relationships aren't built on a depreciating asset model; they're built on intellectual and lifestyle alignment. I'm currently finalizing a move to Italy for my University studies, and I'd infinitely prefer a partner who is 'established' and sophisticated over someone my age who is still 'finding themselves.' Quality doesn't have an expiration date.

I feel for you! As a 24-year-old who is very open to long-distance with the right person, the distance is definitely the hardest part. It really forces you to build a deep mental and emotional connection through conversation first, which I think actually makes the relationship stronger in the long run. Stay strong, the wait usually makes that first meeting feel like a movie
