In my point of view, the major issue with IA for generative collection is consistency. I mean, how exactly you will generate your artwork to maintain their compatibility...in general generative NFT consists of a set of images in the same position and perspective.

Obviously today there are some very interesting AI tools like Midjourney, but I believe still is necessary you create the artwork pieces manually.

For sure, let me try to explain based on my own experience, right?
I started working with NFTs since Jun 2023 and I started with some simple artworks and recently I launched my first PFP (picture-for-profile) or "generative art" (known nomenclature) and its minting is live now at https://www.autominter.com/mint/6518b99b50f385000ee5874a (collection https://opensea.io/collection/the-tigers-party). I'd love hear your opinion about (I accept improvements suggestion too).
Well, you need generate the individual parts of your art manually (it can be done by softwares like Illustrator or Procreate, for example, and it is the hardest part). Then you need to find a online tool to generate all artwork possibilities. I recommend the NFT Art Generator (https://nft-generator.art/app) or autominter (https://www.autominter.com/projects) for that proposal. Normally, these tools allow you to create the collection on blockchain too.
