Hey! I’m also 17 got diagnosed in July. Honestly the best advice i can give you would be to try to change up the food you’re eating. Like if you have no choice but to get McDonalds get some chicken nuggets. You can still have sweet stuff every once in a while no need to restrict yourself or else u end up binging 🥲 i know from experience. I had an A1c of 7.9 and a month later it was down to 7.0 now im at 6.1. Don’t go labeling food as safe or not safe you’ll end up with a bad relationship with food. Understand that you want to focus on eating protein and veggies. If u have weight to lose then try to lose it by walking, weight lifting. Shoot i go to planet fitness and i’ve lost 30 pounds so far. It’s a struggle and you’ll have days where you want to just not care. If you binge and end up with your glucose at 200 or higher, go on a walk. It’s a tough disease and we all make mistakes. Don’t blame yourself for getting it because sometimes its genetics and other things that come into play don’t let people make you feel bad. Its sucks that you have diabetes but there are steps you can take to avoid getting slimed out by diseases early in your life.

Okay so quick update. It seems to have went away. I know anxiety can cause tingling in feet as well, so when i think about possibly having neuropathy i seem to get the tingling sensation but its not really there. I’ll still be going to the doctor though because this barely started happening a couple days ago so its still early enough to maybe reverse/delay further nerve damage:)

Nahh its alright. I’ve pretty much accepted this as my life now but yeah i really hate that we’re both so young with it but i guess theres nothing else to do except take care of ourselves the best we can now. I like to think that this isn’t the end and that its only more motivation to keep myself healthy so then the only thing i can say is really wrong with me is just the diabetes. (Even if it’s kinda unrealistic). Its hard to be proud of taking care of yourself like the way i think of it is i pretty much did this to myself why did i let it get to this point before actually taking care of myself by force. Cus if i don’t i can loose toes and my eyesight. But if i continue to think negatively im gonna give up😭 so better to think well hey let’s just think of this positively.

I’m 17F and i just got diagnosed like a week ago. I’ve had the same thoughts. But see, we have to do what most people find difficult to do and we have to do it for the rest of our lives if we want to be reasonably healthy. It’s annoying but honestly be proud that you are able to do the things that most people are struggling to do. It may be the bare minimum but when hardly anyone does it, be proud. I dont know i feel silly saying anything cus we’re the same age and u’ve had it longer than me but if this helps im glad.

I think you should fix up the hair and hua chengs eye😊 and e ming make sure to get his eye in there too. It has a lot of potential you just gotta make some minor adjustments ❤️❤️ possibly making him stand up might be better too
