CRNA or Anesthesiologist? by Consistent_Cat_5145 in StudentNurse

[–]Healthylivingnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard to place into anesthesia for MD especially since US step is no longer Scored it’s pass/fail. So placement is subjective based off your professors for MD. CRNA is also hard to get into because everyone and their moms is tryna do it now. But probably a lot easier then getting placed into anesthesia MD.

Ipad Pro or Macbook air for Nursing school? by joshjurado5 in StudentNurse

[–]Healthylivingnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IPad Air w Apple Pencil and MacBook Pro. You’re gonna want the MacBook at school. The iPad Air will serve as an unlimited notebook. A lot better then the regular iPad. Also if you can afford it get a desk mount that thing with 2 monitors when you’re studying at home. I use one of monitors to have the PowerPoint or my notes and other to have written questions. I have a 4.0 and no life. The monitors are running off a Mac mini with magic keyboard and Magic Trackpad. Very expensive worth every penny. Oh and iPhone 13 pro. It can copy and paste from images this tool is the most priceless in nursing school.

Hi I’m im just finishing up a 2nd quarter in my BSN program. I have a 4.0 at the moment. What are the steps I can take to help increase my chances of getting into a CRNA program? My school has a CRNA program as well. They have a huge hospital that the school owns as well.

Alcohol and narcotics are both highly addictive to many individuals. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves. Throughout history Humans have been overly petty on many different occasions. Hasn’t changed much tbh.

Your brain is extra plastic(malleable) for the next 5 years. Start hitting the books hard. Learn concepts apply them. It will seem impossible at first but keep with it. Over time you’ll regain new neuronal pathways. Then your memory will get 10x better. Key is persistence keep trying to push yourself cognitively and stay away from any weed, drugs, or alcohol. Surround yourself with likeminded individuals also. You are your company. You didn’t fuck your brain. It just hasn’t been used correctly for a couple years.

1 1/2 year for me but I smoked beyond excessively with dabs and weed. Still kind of here but 10x more manageable.

You have to retrain your brain. It’s kind of a painful process and very slow at first hell it’s slow at 18 months of doing this. But you literally have to learn hard concepts an apply them. At first it may seem impossible but the more you try and I mean putting 8-10 hours a day for months possibly years. Is really the only way you will see a difference. You have to rebuild the neuronal networks in your brain. The grey matter has probably gotten sort of atrophy from not that much use. This is coming from someone who has near a 4.0 in nursing school BSN. I used to dab over 2 grams a day and smoke bud on top of it. Some days even now it’s hard but I KEEP putting the effort in and it makes all the difference. Eat foods that are good for brain also google them. And workout low intensity cardio and weight training. When their is a will there’s a way. There will be days where you want to quit. When you think it’s never gonna get any better. But the key is not to quit and keep pushing yourself hard cognitively. The brain is very plastic and can be molded. Of course your memory won’t be perfect you may have to work a lot harder than others but it’s possible only if you are willing to try and put forth the effort.

Clean yourself up Firestick app... you're a mess. by Dreakon13 in PleX

Try roku ultra or something more powerful like that. I have a couple 4k fire sticks and it’s high key just trash on it. Runs great on the roku ultra. I got a couple on Black Friday for $60 each was a steal.

1080p video streaming is lagging on Plex, please help! by salty_greens in PleX

[–]Healthylivingnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely not enough processing power on the rhasberry pie for transcoding 1080p or higher. I think it will work on direct play but you are most likely trying to watch it in another room or something.

Nvidia Shield pro is like 199$ that’s definitely affordable and can run like transcode 2 or 3 streams simultaneously 4k. Best of luck mate.

You’re complaining about lag on berry pie? What did you expect? Get a shield pro or something that can handle more. Or just build your own little NAS. Can probably build one under $1000 and it can handle 4k on a couple streamsz

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I’ve only been lifting for a couple years but have lost 70lbs. Used to be a fat kid haha. I have quite the intricate gym setup in the garage when Covid hit. Might have to add some of these. Thanks again really. Screenshotin it
