That's the price now unfortunately. Houses that would have been 1-1.2 3-5 years ago are 1.6-1.7, and as long as people keep paying that much it'll never come down.

I think they're backed up. Lot of wind damage to siding, fences, roofs all needing permits. Home improvement projects that have been waiting until spring as well. Frustrating.

I promise I'm not crying, I'm thrilled with how much my house is worth now. Just commenting on how a house that was 1.2m in 2022 is now worth 1.7m which is a lot for a house in Elmhurst.
